U.s. citizenship used to be granted automatically upon completion of service for someone from another country. Automatically.... When did that change?... Does the type of discharge affect that?

At Fort Dix New Jersey there was multiple decades of toxic exposure from digging in contaminated soil out in the field. We would spend the night sleeping in foxholes in this contaminated soil and most of us would end up in the hospital with what they would call a URI infection because they didn't know what else to call it I ended up getting sinusitis because of this and I was denied. The PACT ACT you can basically wipe your butt with it they don't follow it!

What about veterans who were characterized as not honorable for VA purposes for having an OTH but then the BRANCH upgraded their discharge because of having PTSD and MST after a combat deployment but were made to accept a SILT, CHAPTER 10, OR. CHAPTER 4? I know of veterans who accepted these but PTSD was diagnosed IN THE MILITARY and the branch later upgraded their discharges because of this.

Please tell me more and how i can get involved i 'm a veteran

Honestly, I feel sorry for these guys but they did it to themselves. First you have to be a legal permanent resident, also known as a green card holder to enlist in the military...No green card, no enlistment. Green card holders can get their citizenship case fast tracked through honorable military service. BUT YOU HAVE TO DO THE PAPERWORK. Too many soldiers think the process is automatic or they are too lazy to do the paperwork and they never get their citizenship. 100% their own fault. I just talked to a recruiter today. He said green card holders can start the process at the recruiters office or when processing into basic training and can receive their citizenship in a year or less. Without military service, you have to have a green card for 5 years before you can start the process for citizenship.
