That's exciting and a great time to start cruising. My first cruise wasn't till I was 41 and I can't believe I waited so long.

The layout is the same as the Mardi Gras but I prefer the theming on the Mardi Gras and I liked the Mardi Gras parade/ show better. The entertainment is a wash. Celestial Strings is on both ships. Family Feud and Love and Marriage are the same. I think Jacky Tang is a better Cruise Director, more energetic and wittier. I did like the Magnificent Circus show better than the Las Vegas one on Mardi Gras, but once again, kind of a wash. I felt like Mardi Gras was more energetic, fun, up beat cruise. This one was good, but it was more laid back. But I could also be biased because I had a dang cough the whole time and just felt run down so I didn't go to any of the late night parties. Given the choice, though, I would go on the Mardi Gras over the Celebration again. Plus I prefer Port Canaveral.

I will have to watch my review again. I thought I gave a positive review. I still tell people Celebration was the best OVERALL cruise I've been on. Other lines might have better ships or a party atmosphere, but Celebration service, entertainment, and food was great and Luigi did keep the party going. I thought I mentioned that the parties lasted for hours, versus the 30 minutes the other cruise lines do.

Elation was a party for me. The fun squad was one of the best I ever had. The only downside is with it being a smaller ship, it did feel "small" by day 5 and I was ready to get off.

It's an awesome ship. I love the 10 story slide! And the more I drank, the more fun it was.

I think Animal Kingdom is really under rated. I just wished it stayed open later so you could enjoy Pandora at night.

Are you going to the Parks during your visit? Or just coming to Florida to relax?

Hahahah. I picked the wrong day to do the video. We were in port at Nassau and the ship was doing the crew drill for abandon ship.

Have a great time! It is a fun ship. I recommend the adult scavenger hunt if they are still doing it. It was definitely a highlight but I'm a prude so I was probably blushing the whole time.

303 is still quite a bit. It is a pretty cool place that I didn't know existed till Rose took me there.

I prefer Allures boardwalk, but the giant slide is fun on Oasis. I want to try the Wonder or Star as well, but they are just so expensive right now. I cruise on a budget.

@HangingOutWithMike From the videos that I have been seeing, is the boardwalk on Oasis the same as the Allure?

Oasis has been "Amped" so it has the giant slide and they took out the Tequila bar and the outdoor tequila bar. A sports bar replaced the Tequila bar and the slide ends where the outside tequila bar used to be. The little arcade that was on the boardwalk on Allure is gone and that is now part of the sports bar as well. And, if I remember correctly, the donut place is gone too on the "Amped" ships.

I liked the ship, but I didn't like having to go to the center stage shows 30 minutes to an hour early to try and get a decent seat. Or lining up for the comedy club. I feel this ship was crowded despite how big it is.

They had a table set up on the first day where they were selling them. But to be honest, I would not purchase them. The bracelets didn't work to open the room and you still had to give it to the bartenders to order drinks, so I ended up using my sign and sail card anyways.

The elation was a fun ship. I think on the smaller ships, the crew gets to know you more. However, I think 5 days on the smaller ships is too long though.

I wish I would have known that before hand. This was my first Virgin cruise so I was learning as I went. I think if I go again, it will definitely be a better experience.

I heard it was a good time. Unfortunately, I didn't make it. Besides getting drunk in Key West, I'm usually in bed by 10 and I didn't realize Virgin's parties/ events are all late night. I will openly admit I didn't do as much research about Virgin Cruises as I should have.

No. It is my understanding that you can still go, but you'll only get a refund on the cabin partner's port fees, prepaid tips, and anything else they purchases (excursions, drink package, etc.) If the cabin was booked with a special deal under the person who didn't show up, such as free casino offer room, then Carnival will charge for the room.

Key West was a lot of fun, that which I can remember. I would like to go visit one day and take my time seeing the sights.

Yes, the beer was pretty good. It became my go to the rest of the cruise.

I don't know. It definitely wasn't what I pictured. The no kids running around was nice, but I think Carnival has the better atmosphere and crowds.
