Why Take Off Aborted? Hueston we have a problem

I used to live in Vale Farm Road from 1938-1957. Apart from the Railway Station and Broadway, where I see the buses still run from, I recognised nothing. I have been back on visits a few times over the years, but the town isn't the one I knew any more. Even my old school ,Goldsworth, has gone. The War Memorial has been removed from Sparrows Park and the Open Air Swimming Pool in the Park is no more. The Ritz, Odeon and the fleapit Plaza cinemas are now History.

I lived in Woking most of my life apart from the past 6 years. I hope to return some day. Nice flat there. Yeah I want to see what they did with the town.
