    I work a job that sporadically requires me to use my tools and carrying a Toughbuilt tool pouch with the clip tech is a must for my tool bag! I get to throw in a screwdriver, wire cutters, tape measure, markers, and cobras/channellocks in there which are usually the only tools I need on the job! It’s so easy to get the clip on my belt and attach the pouch to my belt! Looking into getting one of the drill holsters soon since I do use my drill/impact a lot as well.

    Hi, what is thr approx cost of installation for this. Also, I don't like how the air con box is on the front, I have the same similar layout, I know you said the customer wanted this but what would you have recommended?

    • @electrumelectrical
      @electrumelectrical 4 месяца назад

      Hello. There was an option to install this unit on the side of the house and on the rear and to run the pipes through the loft. To find out more about the cost, contact us via our website and send us a request for price. Also, if you could provide some pictures, that would help to give a much more accurate price.

    • @mumihp
      @mumihp 4 месяца назад

      @@electrumelectrical thanks, that makes more sense. We have a 3 bedroom semi detached, so the side of the house is available, but the air con would need to be mounted high as its a shared driveway between the other neighbour, but it would be easier to run the pipes to the ceiling, loft and then to the outside. I will differently have a look on the website with pictures. Thanks

    Is there any planning permission considerations if I want to install multi-split AC now and air sourced heat pump for hot water and radiators in the future? I read they permit one heat pump unit outside as long as it can heat the house. So this means AC unit doesn’t need planning permission but future ASHP will need planning permission, correct?

    • @electrumelectrical
      @electrumelectrical 4 месяца назад

      According to my experience and knowledge, no planning permission is required to install a Split air conditioning unit. Still, there are some guidelines that the installer must consider. If you want to install a heat pump in the future, There might or might not be a need for planning permission. The best is to contact the local planning authority. I would advise you not to consider what the installer tells you unless he can provide written proof from the local planning authority.

    Sorry to jump on, but quite a few people have commented on the location of the outdoor unit, permitted development doesn't cover air con units that heat and cool!!! I know its strange a heat pump (heat only) must be situated 1m from the boundary and if facing a highway should be at ground level. Its easy to check on the planning portal.

I used to feel the same way before I started doing these installations. However, I've learned through experience that this position is actually optimal. The unit is designed to blow air in a way that it doesn't directly hit those sleeping in the bed, ensuring a comfortable and effective airflow throughout the room.

      @@electrumelectrical channel locs are a brand name for a slip joint plier. It's normally used to grab a pipe to turn. On a machined fitting one uses a crescent or fitted wrench. Nor mars, marks or gouges as the channel locs would leave. If you notice the installer is using a crescent wrench on the opposed fitting. Plumbers often use pipe wrenches to tighten or loosen pipes and connective fittings. Even channel locs, but a machined fitting allows a proper wrench with both unnecessary marks left.

      @@electrumelectrical when we were kids working on our bikes, etc we would use whatever we could find to make due. A pair of any kind of pliers would somehow work to tighten up a chain, a seat, adjust the handlebars or remove a wheel. At the expense of gnawing on the nut of course. Dad being a mechanic taught me these kinda things so I learned early from trial and error. Another common mistep was the incorrect screwdriver size. Live and learn lol. Glad to point out...😉👍
