You did AWESOME! He's definitely well behaved. I could NEVER trim his nails and paws. Shaving is no problem. BTW, what shears are you using? They cut really well.

Would have been better to trim him all the way .. ears too .. he was in bad shape and I think it hurt him when you tried to brush the matts out of his ears. Sorry please don't take offense. I know it's difficult to trim such a small and matted dog, and he turned out very cute in the end. ❤ I hope he is with a good family that will care for him properly.

And that's exactly how it got into this shape😢 When you don't strip them but using shears their fur gets all matted, knotted (because it get very soft) and the skin becomes stinky! After they got hand stripped they hardly get matted at all and the dirt they happen to take on outside simply falls of again. Trust me I have Foxterriers for 32 years now and even my old ones (who couldn't stand that long on a table) got better hair cuts than this - part hand stripped, part sheared! This is *not* how you do it! And setting this pup up for matted fur in the future. If you can't do gand stripping that's ok, but then don't take Foxies or other terriers please! Stick to poodle...😞

Your doing a great job for these neglected dogs there’s still compaction out there ,the dogs must feel a thousand times better after wards they have feeling too ,I would never let my dod get in that condition they are so faithfull to us ,watching from west Australia
