Late to the party. What happened? Oil in that screen came through or from the oil pump. Remove the sump plate and examine the sump screen. Surely, it's torn, but is it full of debris?
I was gonna say the cam chain guide, but still a nice bike,put new oil n filter see if you can start it,if it's the cam chain guide you'll hear it.either way this is an affordable engine to overhaul, easy to work on
It looks like your exhaust was to short,prolly warped a valve,sorry to say you may have to pull the head off,it's pretty easy.or maybe the bottom oil strainer disintegrated
looks like a clutch, just change the oil and go from there, dont prolong the agony man

Yeah I'm not 100% sure. The metal is not magnetic. It may be the cam chain guide? I'll have to just tear it down and examine, I think.
Well its been a year,you rebuild that motor and now your ripping around...hopefully
