The Footnote & Peter Gabriel feat. Angie Pollock - Different Stories, Different Lives (enhanced)
This is a song by Richard Evand and David Rhodes (alias The Footnote) for the soundtrack of the movie Sea Monsters. Peter and Angie Pollock are in vocals. I've amplified Peter's vocals a bit for this upload.
This track was recorded between March - August 2007 at Real World Studios.

In 2015, Peter provided a track for the Radio Everyone Campaign for UN Global Goals (An internet radio with popular supports). There should be a 5 minute version somewhere, but I have only found small snippets of it. So I have mixed them together, and I've removed the voices of different famous people who were talking over the music. For more excellent music and videos by Peter Gabriel, please ...

Solidays with Peter Gabriel - Qui sait? (Peter's enhanced vocals)

I had already posted this one some time ago, but now I've enhanced Peter's vocals. Peter collaborates alongside other artists in this charity song recorded in 2000 to help children with AIDS. Other artists that took part of this were: Patrick Bruel, Stephan Eicher, Youssou N'Dour, Faudel, Lokua Kanza, Laam, Nourith, Zucchero, Anggun, Axelle Red... Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill (Fanmade Up Tempo version)
Просмотров 722 месяца назад
This is the original Solsbury Hill video, but I've accelerated the rhythm a bit to give it a similar pace to Peter's first live performances of the song. In his first solo tour he used to perform this song quite faster than the album version, so I've tried to match that. His vocals are a bit enhanced too. Peter Gabriel - Interview and performance of Father, Son at Peace One Day Concert (2008)
This video is what got me to experiment with stop motion photography. One of the best animated music videos out there. Most excellent, your hard work paid off!
It’s a brilliant video, yes!
Such a modest visionary. Gabriel illustrates how one man with a clear vision can effect change. He seemed to understand that technology as a tool can be used by the 'average' man to create change and make more than just music. He had an idea of a 'visual language' would evolve into the connectivity of the internet. Peter Gabriel stirred the pot of creativity even into 2024.
Absolutely! I agree with everything you said 100%
@@rpraelsporcupine3112 Thanks. I like your moniker from The Lamb album. Why did you pick that one?
@@rk41gatorBecause I think it’s funny and cute to picture Rael cuddling a porcupine 😁
@@rpraelsporcupine3112 Cute and funny, true. But I think Rael is cuddling his victimhood in holding this porcupine. His negative feelings. This Porcupine tells Rael he has no one to blame but himself (one of Gabriel's themes in this great album). Personal responsibility is a prickly concept to hold.
@@rk41gator Oh, yes, I know it’s a metaphor, but I still picture a porcupine in his arms and I find it cute 😁
I had to watch the little "Special" three times in a row. 😊 Really great. Peter and his smile....He is simply lovable and has a totally likeable nature. Just Peter ❤
Absolutely!! He’s just adorable 🥰
I hope AI upscaling gets good enough to make a crisp 4K version of this one day soon.
That would be amazing 😊
Steve Haskett était à une caméra, où était Tony Basks ?
Neither Tony nor Steve appear on this documentary because this is about Peter’s solo career.

Gràcies! M’alegro que t’hagi agradat 😊
All these azzholls on here, insulting the people involved because some media moron said Dr. OZ is a "huckster" 🤦🏻 Kevin trudeau got labeled a huckster too, but i know for a fact .........FOR A FACT that at least one of those natural cures work (and what are the odds it was the only one???) So i have to wonder if the bullshit media labelling someone a "huckster" actually makes them one?? Probably not ..
This is one of the best things I've ever watched XD oh my God. Thank you for this! I thought the interspersed shots of everything was perfect! And I thought it was just the right amount of shots of him as the Fox Lady and Old Henry. Amazing!
Thank you so much!! I’m really glad you enjoyed it 😊 I enjoyed making it too 😊
I don't understand a word the moderator says. 😂 Regardless, Peter is charming as always and speaks in his usual calm manner. The interview is definitely worth watching. Thanks. Did Peter sing any other song on this show besides "Father Son" ?
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Yes, Peter is absolutely charming and fun, and he also looks so relaxed and happy, doesn’t he? 🥰
@@rpraelsporcupine3112But of course, Peter is funny here too. I don't just love his music, I just love the whole person. He has enriched my life.

What's the rush
Gabriels song Secret World summed up my divorce and the time leading up to it perfectly. Some of the imagery was so close to the truth it was quite incredible. For example the line “In this house of make believe, divided in two like Adam and Eve” describes our house leading up to divorce. Very sad, very powerful, and my favourite song of all time.
It’s a beautiful song ❤️
Why did he get divorced?
Well, they married very young and they probably weren’t mature enough. I guess Jill and him got distanced as time went on. He’s kind of a workaholic and she felt a bit neglected. Maybe they thought they were only hurting each other by trying to keep something that was broken. The divorce was very hard for both of them, but they kept it as civilized as possible and they remained friends after it was all over. So I guess they just did what they thought was best for them at the moment. It’s good that they are still friends, though.
Thank you!
You’re welcome! 😊
I heard that the video took just 7 days to make and they worked for up to 16 hours a day. The only other music video to completely blow me away like this one, was Take on Me.
It’s a fabulous video!
I knew from the moment I noticed the date that I had to click on this immediately! I turned 17 the day this interview came out, yet this completely was hidden from my view until over a week after my 30th birthday of all things (It was last Sunday lol) Also, hard to believe it was Dolly Parton in that last song clip, if that was indeed her that is, and if so, my word...
I’m glad you enjoyed the interview 😊
Absolute class
A primeira versão é muito superior!!!
Fancied him back in the day
He’s very handsome.
Wow, I'm thrilled. Great TV appearance with this beautiful song... and Peter on the piano. I love it. ❤ Thanks for putting it in.

This is a very nice live recording of "Biko". Thank you. It's a shame there are only a few comments here. I have the impression that Peter is particularly moved here..... when you look into his eyes. (he fights back tears) He is simply great.

A great, interesting interview with Peter. Very intelligent, this man - and I just like the way he talks. Thanks. For me personally, "Us" is a very nice album. I always enjoy listening to it on headphones. To this day I love his music, his lyrics, his voice and his extraordinary music videos. ❤
He is a brilliant artist and a beautiful human being. I’m glad you enjoyed the interview 😊
Grazie! È meraviglioso. La musica unisce i popoli e Peter lo sa molto bene! Thanks.
I agree! And I’m glad you liked it 😊
a nice surprise this version.
I’m glad you liked it 😊
Two immense talents, that both had very successful careers. Phil Collins sold more albums, however I gravitated more toward Peter Gabriel throughout the years So was arguably the greatest albums of the '80's and among the greatest of all time.
I love Peter and So is one of my favourites by him too 😊
So painfully obvious this was done with a single camera, and the questions were shot separately, probably without Peter even being in the room. JD's working so hard to seem natural it hurts. Has an SCTV feel to it.
Baby Peter 👶🥰

OMG . Peter and his father are twins at the sane age 😮

Ooops!! Sorry for the mistake! Thank you!
Gasparian released an album - "Black Rock" i think, circa 1997 on Peter`s Real World Records - an album with Michael Brook. I could be wrong, but i think Gasparian was not involved in "Passion" - the booklet will mention names like "Antranik Askarian" and "Vatche Housepian" - a recording from "Ocora records", as i remember - (i need to check the booklet once again myself).
I got this wrong, then, thanks!

@@rpraelsporcupine3112 Grazie ancora ... Thank you again
I love it, though I kind of wish he hadn’t provided running commentary on his slip-ups, no one would have noticed otherwise
I love his interruption. It’s so sudden, so unexpected, and his voice sounds so deep, that it’s like a shock, but in a good way.
I get you, in a way it shows his modesty and perfectionism - it’s a recurring habit of his (“fucked it up again” he says halfway through a 2014 performance of Flood in Cologne), and it’s endearing; but on balance I’d prefer the song without any comments. Especially a song like Flood, you get lost in its beauty, and I don’t want to be suddenly pulled out of that. :)
@@JamesHarkerMusicYes, it’s totally endearing. But I understand. You know what? I’ll see if I can remove the interruption so you can listen to the song without it.

I love that Cat Stevens was connected to the world of prog -- e.g. Rick Wakeman's piano on 'Morning has Broken' ♥
Caught the chaos in the market square I don't know what I don't know why But something's wrong down there Their bodies twistin' and turnin' in a thousand ways The eyes all rollin' 'round, and 'round into a distant gaze Ah, look at that crowd! Some are jumping up in the air Say "We're drowning in a torrent of blood!" Others going down on their knees Seen a saviour come out of the mud Oh, Mother! It's eating out my soul Destroying law and order, I'm gonna lose control What can I do to stop this plague Spread by sight alone Just a glimpse and then a quiver Then they shiver to the bone Ah, look at them go! Bunderschaft, you are going daft? Better seal off the castle grounds "This is Moribund the Burgermeister I gotta keep the monster down Somebody sent the subversive element Going to chase it out of town!" No one will tell what all this is about (But I will find out) This thing's outrageous I tell you on the level It's really so contagious Must be the work of the devil You better go now, pick up the pipers And tell them to play Seems the music keeps them quiet There is no other way Ah, close the doors! "We've tried potions and waxen dolls But none of us could find any cures, " Mother, please Is it just a disease Has them breaking all my laws? Check if you can disconnect the effect And I'll go after the cause No one will tell what all this is about (But I will find out) (Mother, you know your son And I say I will I will They'll be sorry I'll make sure they're sorry Make sure they're...)
