If people continue killing snakes at the current pace. There’s going to be an epidemic of monstrous proportions. Copperheads are essential to keeping the rodent populations in check. Rodents which harbor many tick-borne diseases. As well as flea borne diseases. I don’t care where you stand politically, physically, spiritually, or even emotionally. This has nothing to do with that. So, if ever there is a plague that wipes out 3/4 population blame it on those who kill the snakes.

Nice video! One method I use is keeping the heads on and hanging them on a metal stringer slung between two spits.

I'm not against killing a Venomous snake or really anything for that matter but you got to have a better reason than just to kill it and dissect it and then throw it in the river. You should have ate it and that would have been sufficient justification to kill him but just for the hell of it I don't think it was worth it

I can't stand snakes, but I can't watch them be killed. They serve an important part by killing rats and mice which carry disease. Bubonic Plaque was spread by fleas on rodents .

I love every wildlife and have a feelings to every creature except snakes....Kill them all before it kills your love ones.... Give them a slow pain, don't spare even the babies.

Please don’t ever kill snakes, even if they are venomous. Dog attacks are more frequent than venomous snake bites, and people don’t run around killing dogs every time they see one

Killing something because your afraid of it is wrong. You should have educated the kids about the copperhead. You could have taught them how to identify a copperhead and explained to them how they hunt and kill. Taught them about the environment in which they are likely to find one, that way they don’t stumble unknowingly into their habitat. I understand removing the snakes for safety, but not killing them. You should also do your part by not building a perfect grocery store for the creature.
