Kieran Tabor YT i think the high pitched siren is in Bull Point, it can’t be in Torpoint as there is a CS8 in Torpoint and, keyham and camels head are CS8’s too, and the main 4 sirens in the main part of the base are EX-GPO sirens, so it leaves bull point, thats where the high pitched siren is

@@BritishLifeSafetySystems I have made my judgement on the high pitch siren at HMNB PLYMOUTH is a CLM. Its loud but it's not scary so I wouldn't mind being near it. my ears pick more dynamic sound then you think they do.. thay pick up tones and harmonics you think are impossible. I have seen vids of the 2 and 3T22 sirens and sound nothing like the 2 or 3t22 sirens. This siren at the naval base is nice and the sound is soothing not scurry scurry like some sirens I have heard even if it's high pitched. The sirens I dearly love are the dual tone THUNDERBOLT and the japanese TURBO turbine siren plus the American fed 500AT rotating siren and all the british style sirens in new zealand

My theory is that it is a klaxon cs8 with the dampers stuck closed. Therefore making the motor spin faster.

Having the shutters jammed shut would only make the sound quieter, and would not impact the rotor speed as motors are unable to go more than just a little faster than their labelled maximum RPM.

al66class59 it would because the motor would have to work less because it isn’t drawing in any air. The motors would spin faster to make an equivalent to the energy it is putting out.

Explain why the broadmoor sirens with jammed shutters went no faster then.

In any case, regardless of your theory, having the shutters jammed shut would cause a far quieter sound, which the high pitched siren here clearly isn’t showing. It is at a normal, LOUD sound level.

It's easy to recognize that sound so very easy. Must be the first canadian siren in the uk for sure

@@hmsirensandfirealarms so it's a 2T22 not a 3T22? are you sure it's noT even a CLM? because I can tell that the siren what ever it is is not a 3T22 or a 2T22 as I have heard these in many vids. So I will judge on the sound it's a CLM as the fed 2/3T22 sirens have a very distinctive sound is you can hear 2 lower tones in a major third aswell as the higher minor third. No I am not american or canadian but as a siren dude from the uk I love these sirens.

Jez Colborne that happened yeah but it also goes off every Monday at 11:30 theyre are several sirens based around Plymouth and torpoint by the dockyard

I know they set the sirens of every monday at 11:30 as I have Sean and heard them on you tube and recordings of the main siren at the docks but there is also a very slow single tone siren there too which seams to do the attack signal with a very slow rise and fall.

@@jezcolborne9596 The high pitch one sounds to be in or just outside the dockyard on other videos. I have reason to believe the Torpoint one is a CS8.

Jez Colborne Right. Just to satisfy you, cuz it was annoying me. It’s at the dockyard, which have nuclear reactors. They start at 11:30 on Monday mornings.

@@crimsonkatharine6857 I know also that the subes are nuclear powered and that's why they have these sirens but one siren stands out and it's the high pitched siren I heard on this vid. Finally I know it's a federal 3T22 or a CLM siren as it is not a small siren but a big siren as it slows down the same as the KLAXON CS8 sirens so in future please dont be balshy when I ask a question
