Thanks, it’s a very useful video for me. How do you set your six aux for the sub? Could you explain your settings? Thanks
Thanks for the video. Only one on the internet I could find.
People need to lock their damn doors. Also, they need to have a car alarm.
Can u do a step by step how to set up external router ive spent hours watching sweetwater videos that didnt help
Thank you for your time in doing this video. I will be doing this in about a week and will probably watch this video 3 times before I start removing a single bolt. Thank you, thank you.
Thanks for great video.... Any idea why our output via the xlr bus channels that were driving headphones fine last week would have dropped to a really low mic level?
You can purchase magnetic pen like screw pickup tool in any auto part store. They come in all sizes and are inexpensive. I like to have one or two in every tool box. Saves you lots of frustration. I even purchased a larger one which is great for finding screws etc. Lost in grassy areas. 👍
Can I use passive speakers for monitors with the xr18?
Only if you have a separate power amplifier
hi, i want my band to be in ears , if i hookup edrums on 2 channels, guitars through a cab sim etc.. my question is if we are 5 members and want individual mixes , do we need a power amp to power the xr18 or can we hook up directly and play
You can hook up to 6 in ear rigs and have 6 different mixes for im ears. You will need in ear transmitters and receives or headphone amps
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله
w.t.f? a whole latch for a switch!
Thank you for the video. I don’t leave comments that often. You helped me out tremendously and save me a ton of money spent at the dealer. Part was under $50 on eBay. 2 hours of work saved hundreds and my wife doesn’t have to hear the chiming anymore. Thank you again.
One thing worth showing here is that you can also name the buses, just like you name a channel. Use case: our band uses four monitors. Bus 1 is for the lead singer monitor (named "Kerri"s mix," Bus 2 is for the bass guitar player (named "bass mix"), Bus 3 is for the guitar player (named "Cory's mix), and Bus 4 is for the drummer (named "drummer mix"). Simple concept, but very helpful when one of them wants you to adjust their mix. Hope this helps someone else.
I didn't know you had a RUclips channel! I just subscribed! That's a sweet video of Danny🖤
I have a 2012 Ford Edge SEL that I bought about a month ago. Two days after I bought it the drivers door ajar came on and stays on whenever I started it up. Also, my standard cruise control would only work when I hit erase on my OBD II code reader. I decided to replace the cruise control switch first because that"s the easiest. I am glad I did because that took care of both problems. I am going to hang on to the door latch just in case.
Thanks for all your effort! Very helpful
Gald you made this! Helped a bunch! Dealer wouldn't cover my car....
Nice beginner video ...two tips (in case you don't already know)...in the output routing I saw the buses were post fader ...if that meets the purposes of your setup just forget what I say...but in most situations you want to have musicians' stage monitors pre fader because if you want to lower your keyboard's volume for example in your main mix ,if the bus is post fader then it will lower the volume on his own monitor also...and second tip ...I noticed from the reflection of your screen you re using the touch pad of your laptop ...try touching your touch pad with two fingers and move them up or down (just like if you wanna scroll up or down) and it will raise-lower the value of the fader-slider where the cursor is ...👍
Ford just mailed me a notice saying they are finally going to cover the cost of the repair for 8 years from in service date. Also said if you previously paid to have this repair done you can bring the receipt to a Ford dealing before June 2020 and get money back. I need to see if I can find my receipt for the part. Now I wish I had paid the dealer since I would have had a record and also I wouldn't have had to do all that work and make this video :)
content is great but BAD video . perhaps try using OBS with screen capture...
Thanks for this video. Fixed my 2013 Ford Edge with your help. Appreciate you posting this!
Why hasn't this been a recall yet?
How do you pan the mixes ??
Using the pan setting on the channel strips. They look like two arrows pointing at each other right above the channel faders
Just looked. Pan is right above the scribble strips.
1KKrace I did click on that and nothing happened :(
I have issues with all three doors except the driver door. The local Ford Dealers has quoted $800 to fix it. I am shocked by the amount and totally motivated to watch this video a couple of times and try the replacement project all by myself.
Man...In the words of the cars… This is just what I needed excellent video
Please file a complaint, if you do it, the more chances this will become a Factory Recall. Vehicle Safety Complaint | Safercar | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/
report issue to nhtsa.gov/recalls and hope for a recall from ford
Anyone tried using a wifi extender with it? I just did, yet to find out how good it is.
Douglas, are you talking about using the extender with the built in router? I wouldn't bother since it's still 802.11g. Get a decent. Ac router and use .ac wireless devices and you shouldn't need an extender. Or use a longer cable between the mixer and router so the router can be located close to you
@@1KKrace I've got an apple airport Express, will that do? I don't know what an AC router is.
@@djstixtrix 802.11.ac is the protocol of the router. The built in one is 802.11.g. talk to someone that knows networking and they can explain. .g is old and let's you down in a crowded environment
Those Ford bastards
Nice video , i just fix mine and save a loooooot money !!!!! Thanks .
When you talk about prying out the window switch, you're pointing to the wrong end. If you pry it from that end you will break the clip. You must pry it from the end towards the back seat.
Hi, thanks for informative video. I have one question - so AUX sends 1-6 on the front panel are those buses 1-6 right? Are they mono or stereo?
Rafaels Sancess Aux sends 1-6 are Buses 1-6 and they are all mono if I’m not mistaken
They are mono by default but you can link them if you want to have 3 stereo buses ...for IEM's for example
Thanks for a really helpful video, nice to see it explained clearly.
Thank you .!! I Fixed my MKX came out good .
hai,,my laptop obviously suitable to 5GHz wifi signal but,is every phone recognize 5GHz wifi signal?? cause my phone wifi spec is b/g/n which is non 5GHz (as far as i know).. 5GHz signal has 'ac' leter can my phone connected to 5GHz signal????
Excellent video! Answers a lot of questions. Thank you for the help
Well done !
Great video but I was wondering how does a person control their own mix on the stage using X Air app or the X Air Q app. I cannot find any information\documentation on this.
yppat if you haven't already had it answered, I believe they just have to go to their own assigned bus. For example, say the drummer is bus 2, they just click on bus 2 and edit what they need to hear or not hear.
As far as I know for the android app when you open the app and BEFORE you connect to the mixer there is a "mix access " tab which allows you to select which bus you wanna have control of...
I just fixed mine just by spray Deoxit D5 in between the door metal and the latch. I open and closed about 10 times and now it works!
Hallo and thx for all infos. Why i have only mono Output "¿
This was a great video. You got right to it. No 5 minute talk about yourself or something else. The video was easy to follow and was a great help. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for the great video. What versions of the apps are you using for each computer/tablet. The one that the manual suggested that I download for PC doesn't look nearly as graphic as yours. Please let me know if you can help shed some light on this. Thanks again.
Much appreciated. I've found the manual to be woefully lacking in clarity. The tutorials, including this one, and the musictribe forum have been great source of information. I get lost when I try to apply effects and route a channel.
I wish i watched your video in full first. Took that torx out of the door lock and lost mine for a solid 20 min as well lol. I have no complaints about your video quality because without it, it wouldve taken me twice as long to change fords horriblly shitty designed door actuator out. Thanks much for thr video!
I have a 2011 Edge and the door ajar light stays on now. Has been for 2 days . Going to call Ford in the morning and see if there was a recall......fingers crossed. If not, will try spraying the latch area with carb cleaner as some people say it worked for them. if that doesn't work i'll spend the $500 or w/e it costs . Taking the door apart might not be too bad but putting it together would be a disaster....for me anyways.
Trevor Thomas isn't a bad job if you watch the whole video first
nice a/b test, however, now I'm motion sick...
Rodger Cochran that was my evil plan :ĺ
Hi, good video... I have the XR18 over a year now and it’s just lying there after several months of tweaking not to mention several online tutorials by engineers.... I find there is no vocal presence at all from these units!!! After a year later I decided to give it another chance.... I came across a guy who had several really good RUclips videos on the x-air and he was kind enough to help me out.... and so I decided to take the XR18 back out on a gig last night... firstly, my setup is 2 powered EV 15s using backing tracks.... had I achieved a decent vocal sound it would have been half the battle solved But!! My findings is... . digital is not for pre-recorded tracks.. The fact that tracks vary in base, treble etc makes it a nightmare for doing a final setup and leave... after getting the perfect sound I load another track to find it doesn’t match the previous setting at all... sometimes the bass is so boomy or the high is screaming... it meant eyes on screen constantly tweaking for each individual track... tgis however is different for a band where we set each individual instrument with perhaps a slight adjustment as you go if at all needed.. but unfortunately it’s constant eyes down for tracks... I would have certainly looked into plug-ins for the vocals but after giving this one last shot to see if it can be done digitally but I find it’s impossible to be constantly tweaking as you go from track to track... Sadly! Otherwise this would be great for the simplicity of it not to mention less gear and weight... I can see where this would be perfect for a band setup but definitely a need for a plugin of some sort to get that better vocal.... I’m in the music business over 20 years and I know how to eq to find a decent vocal! This setup is so lacking in producing a vocal that has punch and presence!! Simply not there!! I’m really disappointed because I’ve spent so much time on it not to mention money both in the equipment and online tutorials!!
Anthony Bradley I have no idea what you are talking about? I'm very active on the forums and although there are various complaints about the xair series the sound quality is not one of them. One thing you could play with on your backing tracks is the stereo combinator. It's a multi band compressor. It's sounds like your tracks were not recorded correctly if each one sounds different? I would also try putting your tracks directly into the speakers without a mixer. I don't know of any preset eq that will work for each room. Also get the strongsoft ieq app and a reference mic and use it for your FOH eq. Sign on to the music tribe forum for the xair if you have more questions?
Great help - all works fine now!!!!
So this may be a really dumb question...so I apologize. I just purchased the xr12. I plan to use power speakers. With the mains from xr12 going out to the power speakers.... mics in 123 is there anything else in the app that I will need to do to get mic volume to the mains...except make sure the faders are up:).? I'M ABOUT TO THINK I'M IN OVER MY HEAD LOL
Smith082876 plug in the speakers
There is a great forum on the Behinger website for more help
Smith082876 hi I have the XR18 and also the x32 console... I’m wondering if you got the vocal sound you desired? I think these units are the worst ever fir vocals!! I have a studiomaster analogue desk... these Behringer units would not come close to the vocal presence and dynamics of The studiomaster
Smith082876 sign up for the music tribe forum and there is a ton of knowledge on the xair forum including myself
Thanks a lot
