    Im not quite understanding pre load even after reading comments. I set left bearing back to normal turns and turn the right one a couple dots extra, get the assembly in, and then turn them back to where it was originally, like opposite of getting assembly out?

    • @silverstonespov5291
      @silverstonespov5291 26 дней назад

      @@em0p0ny Bearings adjustment have some play that mean it still loose and zero play or zero pre-load when it just stop play and pre load that mean we put more turns on the adjuster to give it more tight or more pressure. Old bearings been in the housing for a long time never been remove it worn out, so if we adjust 1/2 of turn on each side more than original position it should be okay but never let it loose and play it will making noise and wear out faster.

    Excellent video. I purchased a used 2020 Raptor with Fog lights All 3 light on drivers side and 3 on passenger side are switched off auxiliary 1. Not sure if it is the reason but my Cruise Control does not work. I see some internet posting that state that after installing fog lights …. The cruise control must be reset or recalibrated. Is there any truth to this and if so …what do I need to do to get my cruise control working. Thank you so much. Rich

      @@richo8475 First, you can try to disconnect the light see if the cruise control working. Not sure all 3 lights are all fog light or off-road light. They should wire them on 3 different switch. Second, did you scan the engine see any codes in the engine system because if any code the cruise will not work and sometimes check engine light not come on but there is codes in the system. Good luck !

    Great video. A couple of pointers for the next guy to come along and try this… 1. The red tab pulls OUT AND AWAY from you and the actuator (towards the engine bay). Then you will feel the press tab to release the harness. I used a long metal “fork” to jab the press tab and harness away from me to get it out of the device. This was the hardest part of the whole process. 2. When you align that second piece and turn it to match the new actuator it’s actually easier to pull it out again and attach it to the new part. Then you can focus on sliding both of them together as a single unit over the actuator mounting pins. You can see the mounting pins in the video and you can see one while looking through the arm hole at the closest screw and another in the left corner closest to you. 3. Get a pinch grip screwdriver with magnetic attachments like he has in the video. Super cheap on Amazon and will save you a real problem later on if you drop a screw. 4. Once you have the new one screwed and plugged in don’t put the dash back together all the way. Reconnect the dash electronics and turn on the accessories (press start without stepping on the brake). You should hear the new actuator “whir” and “slide” open and closed as the truck computer calibrates the new accessory. If this happens it’s a good sign that your issue is fixed (for me I wasn’t getting hot air to the passenger side) Thanks for the video!!
