Thank you for the great demo and suggested uses of this pedal. I just got this for my GTX100 as a volume pedal, but wanted some ideas of how best to use it with an overdrive pedal and I liked your use of the gain control on the Greebox (Tubescreamer) which I use a lot.
The instrument is good but the speaker is bad.

Question: does it only work with the fender multi effect unit or can I plug it into any pedals and use it as a vol/expression control?
Hi Eric :-) I have not tested that, but my feeling is that this needs the Fender GTX unit. So the pedal send more a digital signal. Also a regular vol/expression pedal would be cheaper. :-) Best
Yup, size does make a difference. The larger speakers as well as the larger wattage and other features make it a better option than the Blackstar Fly 3. It can even give the Boss Katana Mini a run for its money. For even though the Katana Mini has 2 watts more power than the Vox it also still has a smaller speaker by 2 inches. Speaker size and capability go a long way to making the amp not sound tinny or tiny. I like that they removed the drum machine. But, I am very disappointed that they did not include a EQ and just put a tone knob instead. I own its bigger brother, the Vox DA-20.
Fair enough. I picked da5 up in British Columbia 2008. It died on me an I scrapped it. Just got another one from japan on ebay. Blessed

Will this amp work for my fender mustang v2?
You mean the Footpedal? Not sure, I think the MGT-4 is for the GT and GTX Amp models, and the MS-4 Footswitch for the Mustang III und IV. But not sure about the Mustang v 2 🙂

Someone told that pedal will mess up the GTX because it wasn’t built for it. I’ve used it ok.
:-) Me too, i have not recognized any mess in the GTX.
If all the batteries are taken out, will the electric cord still work?
Yes.
I have a 12v electric scooter battery in mine. It fits perfectly

can u explain what that tap/edit/bypass buttons do and how to use them i just got this amp and i have no clue
Hi. I can try 😁 press tap on the wished tempo and some effects like the delay will use that speed. When you hold the tap button or bypass button and change the edit 1 knob you have some more adjustments of the effects. But sometimes it works well and sometimes not for me. Because there are 2 effects at the same time like flanger-reverb two effects and some changes can be made by pressing and holding, or just turn the effects knob without holding a button to adjust only the edit 1 parameter 😜😁 A bit tricky. Of my two nearly identical MUSTANG GT100's, one of them only gives me a "u - 3" indication on my MGT-4 Footswitch, whereas w/ the other amp is fine w/ the same footswitch (though its Bluetooth function will invariably malfunction after nearly a half hour of response.) These Mustang GT100 Amps are great . . . when they actually work.
Yes, when it works I am happy too. Bluetooth is sometimes so tricky that I only use currently the Amp alone. Maybe Issues with the footswitch can be because of the cable, too, But for me this Footswich worked unti no without issues :-) Good Luck and Greetings

what are those wierd noises?
you mean the gutar playing ? or when are the noises in the video ? ;-) I guess when i unplug the line line out, so some are with line out and some takes with the microphones. But I left the unplugging sounds in.

Hey that is strange. On Presets Mode on the Footswitch they worked from the beginning. But I remember I had to plug and unplug the device. Thanks for the Info and Good Luck

I got Rumble Studio 40 amp, and it work with MGT-4 as swell as GTX-7 and EXP-1 as they all shown in the menu of Studio 40. I bought MGT-40 and will serve me well for my skill level. Good detail video!

Thank you for your video. I just bought the Mustang GTX50 amp and the MGT-4 foot switch. I had difficulty getting the switch to work with the amp at first, but now I’ve got it working and I am happy. I use the Fender App 3.0 to program the amps and effects, and I use the foot switch to turn things on and off when I’m actually playing. I’m still having difficulty getting Bluetooth to work. It usually takes a while to get a connection. Take care. Cheers.
