The Oregon Carvers Guild is a group of enthusiastic wood carvers who want to preserve and pass on the art of carving to the next generation through classes and demos for beginners, intermediate and advanced carvers.
We strive to help carvers expand the breadth and depth of their knowledge and skills by offering new carving experiences as well as expert advice and educational and mentoring opportunities for those who want grow in a specific technique.

My dad was a woodcarver. He didn’t carve birds.Wish I had taken the time to learn from him. Now that I have my family raised, I have time to learn. I would love to learn how to carve decoys. Wish I had a group near me to learn from.

One thing I would Say to carvers is when carving wood "you learn how to be good in woodcarving is to do and get carving and make mistakes in getting better Don't agonize Just Do and learn !
