QOCHOC Pipers at St. John’s Cathedral
Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada pipers performed at the Christmas concert today at St. John’s Cathedral.
The winter concert is a seasonal highlight, hosted by The Regimental Band of The Royal Winnipeg Rifles. Pipers with the QOHCOC are invited to perform with this highly-regarded military band at most of their concerts. The performances reinforce a military connection between members of the two regiments, both based at 38th Brigade Group at Minto Armoury.
This year, the QOCHOC were represented by:

This commemoration for the 80 Anniversary of the Dieppe Raid was held on August 18, 2022 at Vimy Ridge Park, Winnipeg. The service was hosted by the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada, a Winnipeg unit that first saw action in the Second World War when they hit the beaches of occupied Europe during the raid at Dieppe on August of 1942. On that day, the regiment lost 76 brave soldiers.

The following is a commemoration of the members of The Queens Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada who sacrificed their lives so we can lead the lives we do. They died on August 19th, 1942 along with another approximately 750 Canadian soldiers.
