Now that I'm retired, I have more time to fix/make/modify things. There is also traveling to different places and lots of fishing!

Jackery After Storm
Просмотров 25Месяц назад
This is how we used the Jackery after Hurricane Milton came by us knocking power out for a few days. We still depended on the gas generator but it was nice to not hear it running at night and being able to run devices in the house to stay cool and conected.
How not to lose an anchor.

2024 Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy - Flush Procedure
Просмотров 3,5 тыс.4 месяца назад
Welcome to the channel. This is my first video and it is intended to help new Jet ski users flush their boat after a run in salt water. I'm not a professional, I was just instructed to clean them this way by the dealer. Just wanted to show you the process of my first time doing it. Enjoy...
THANKS for the video tutorial, I liked and subscribed! Much easier to flush salt out than I thought! Looking forward to purchasing my own Sea Doo Fish Pro soon. Here in central NC, I will operate mostly in lakes & rivers, but I expect to go to the coast too!
Someone donate this guy a new drill bit set please 😭😂
Those are some REAL good lookin trucks
I lost my anchor overboard last week. Ties a rope in the middle of a set of jumper cables and grabbed it like nothing else. My boss always said if your ganna jump outta a plane screw a parachute grab a pair of cables, they’re sure to grab something on the way down.
@tristondaspit6618 that is awesome! Getting some cables for my boat lol. Take care.
unboxing means nothing . what is it ? i am assuming it is a solar generator . might be nice to demonstrate it's capabilities which are probably not much.
Thank you for the comment. I have gas powered generators but wanted an alternative in case gas is difficult to find. It is a solar generator and I plan to show some real life situations that it can be used in. Take care.
I could understand it using one rope to the back and another to the front of the anchor. The way you do, how does the tie wrap understand that you want to leave instead of just being puched by the sea???? It will break and you get your SeaDoo/Boat released..... I Would use two ropes, but not the tiewrap. But this is just my opinion. Regards and thanks for sharing.
Hello and thank you for the comment. I only use my boats for fishing so I'm always aware of where the tide is moving so I can stay on a spot. The tie wraps cling really tight and will only release when a lot of force is on the rope. I like your idea of the two ropes but I would have to purchase another rope and my anchor storage is not very big lol. Thank you and take care.
@@RetiredNowWhat Now that i know that you use only for fishing, i totally understand your idea and it makes total sense, since there´s no danger, even if the tie wrap brokes, you are there will notice it. My concern was leaving the boat and trusting only on the tie wrap. Regards.
do those quick connectors come with the jetski?
@The_Big_Soup3 no but you can pick them up at the dealer and leave them installed.
I'm no anchor expert but this seems very wrong... however after looking this up this method is apparently how the manufacturers recommend doing it.
Thank you for the comment. I didn't know that. I've been doing it this way because my dad and other friends had taught me how to set it up. Take care.
lose* ?
Lol fixed thanks.
Looked good but will probably get loose with all the vibrations
Thanks for the comment. The tie wraps will not snap on their own without a good amount of force. If you see that they are weathered or their color has faded just replace them. Take care.
so you are throwing more plastics into the ocean
Thank you for the comment. It is rare to get an anchor so stuck that you can't pull it out but it can happen. I'm very mindful of our environment but I would rather leave two small pieces of tie wraps than an anchor and rope dangling on the bottom. Take care.
Thats a good thought but completely flawed as mentioned above. In reality its a waverunner, how deep of water are you anchoring in and getting off? Maybe 5 feet or less in reality.
Thank you for the comment. I use this technique on my kayaks, jet skis, and also my boats. The deepest I have been on the skis is around 30ft but much more than that on the boats. Take care.
Interesting. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
Depending on the size of your boat and anchor, choose a tiewrap that will hold strong but snap with force. On my boat I use a thicker tiewrap than on my ski's and kayak. Take care.
It's a great idea when it's in the perfect situation......BUT..... the current or wind carries your vessel away, puts strain on the anchor and now your anchor is released and you've just lost not only your anchor, but your vessel too.
I've personally never had wind or tides snap my zip tie. Just never been strong enough I guess. And if either is strong enough to snap it, you probably shouldn't be out there anyway
Hi and thank you for your comment. I only use my boats for fishing so I'm always checking to make sure I'm on the fishing spot. The tiewrap will not snap very easily so I feel pretty secure with them. This setup is not for all situations and if I had to step away from my boat or sleep on it, I might use a different setup. Take care.
Retired-oomg, you created well content! 😲
Lol, thank you very much. Take care.
Does See Doo recommend using salt off?
Hi, not sure if SeaDoo does but our local dealer is the one that recommended it. I picked up the kit and supplies from them.
Loved the dad jokes 🤣
Thanks keeping it clean.
Very helpful and entertaining! Thank you!😂
Thank you
That’s a very good tutorial. Thank you!😊
Thanks
