It very fishy for required PSN account since steam is open to any PC users. It only mean to collect user data. The other part is push PC market which EPIC failed. Basic they are trying to get steam account all over the world but PSN does not support +150 countries. When doing search engine " sony categorizes {name}, a third world country, as part of the low priority countries." The other is their contracts they are pressure in creating account linking as they trying to push to make up the numbers for the board members to fund those studio but led to poor sale if they force all PSN but not all can be access by PSN. So those studios are force to link account on steam. Plus with the pass history for fail to prevent hackers. The trust is broken. They are being stricts. They can't ban them on steam due to names and rules on regulation for ban players. So they force PSN for easy to ban them. Meaning steam account can be ban as well.

you should jump to a gaming pc you'll never turn back, maintenance on a PC is monthly dusting and just updating to new drivers once they are available other than that you'd love it. but if there's games you can only play only on specific consoles then sure.

You have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what you are talking about. You do not have to do ANY maintenance on a gaming computer. NONE. The most you have to do is update your drivers, which is a notification that you get and is done automatically. I have NEVER seen someone just spew such nonsense. Spend the money, get yourself a PC and start playing games the way they are meant to be played. You don't have to "leave" consoles to also own a PC. Most PC gamers do. There is NOTHING to learn. NOTHING to maintain, and NO responsibility. As long as you buy a standard "Air cooled gaming computer" there is nothing to be "ready" for or any of these strange reasons you gave for not getting one apply. You should actually do some research before you waste you money on a PS4. You can use that same SSD in a PC so it won't be wasted.

Cross-play and cross-progression are two different things. They only confirmed cross-play. Meaning PC and PS players can play the online part of Ghost together, it does not mean you can transfer your save files though.
