What temperature are these smoked ? & do you smoke them all the way through or Do you braise them as well ?
@@ChosenOne317 with oxtails, I mainly just smoked them for flavor/color for a few hours (2-3). Then braise them until tender enough the shred (usually an hour).
What type of seasoning blend is this?
@@fx35md57 salt, pepper, garlic, red pepper flakes.

One of the best vids on oxtails I’ve seen so far. Some people underestimate the flavor of simple spg. To many get carried away with all the rubs and binders etc. Spg and some good smoke give some of the best tasting bbq I’ve ever had. Sometimes simple and straight to the point is the best way to go!

They can get super tended without brazing them, but it’s a secret most doesn’t know. You’re pretty much boiling your meat after you smoke it if you braze them.

Oh for sure! However, they do save a lot of time, less worries with checking logs/coals and way less clean up, opposed to traditional smokers. Being the year of 2024, I'd rather own a smartphone over a Landline phone any day. Same thing with Tv's today vs Tv's from 30 years ago lol.
