Today we take a look at a beautiful little puzzle from 1945. The story of where it came from, what it depicts, and how it ended up with Joey is a fascinating one. Welcome to the first episode of @JankyPuzzles, a show that celebrates the bizarro world of out print, out of date thrift store jigsaw puzzles. In this episode we talk about what janky puzzles are, time lapse a build, and discuss the time I bothered a whole Vermont town looking for a barn.
Very interesting. Thanks
I love tortoises!! 🐢 🐢 🐢 🐢
I love my buck 25 puzzles!
Hi am from Sydney Australia, I the history behind and the research you do. Congratulations on the channel. Just loved your Roy Rogers story I was the best.👏🏼👏🏼🧩👏🏼👏🏼

Oh fun! Great puzzle. I love your historical research and stories, too. Congrats on 100 (161 as I'm reading this) subscribers!
Your videos are so informative and interesting 😊 love watching them while I puzzle, thank you!
So glad I found your channel, I love jigsaw puzzles and really enjoyed your video 😊
Great research. Gives it a very human touch.
G’day Joey, Thank you for a great video and what a story re Roy Rogers, that is way cool 😄. Many thanks for being so kind and referencing us here in Melbourne Australia. Wishing you many more subscribers as your channel is so informative and your presentation is tops mate. Till soon. Mark+Chris🥰
I caught the subtle New Day reference. 😝
Black Widow’s microphone is very hard to unsee. 😳🍆😳
What a treat, sealed fun puzzle from 1973. From Norway.
Congratulations on what is now over 100 subscribers. 👍 That jigsaw was certainly a blast from the past. In the summer of 1973 I had just left school. Unlikely that I will find that puzzle as I live in the UK. I have one puzzle that I treasure as it was given to my grandfather when he retired in 1960. A wooden Billingsfors puzzle of a church painted by Larz Friberg. As far as I am aware Billingsfors puzzles are very hard to obtain today and I think there are only about six images in existence.
Congrats on 100 subscribers! Watching from South Africa 🇿🇦🧩
Congrats on 100! Loving the videos and information. I am from Queensland, Australia.
Congrats on the subscribers! Thanks for another video. I am watching from Dallas, Texas!
Congratulations on your subscribers! Can't wait for the next episode. 😊
Keep the puzzle train rolling
Cool puzzle
Hi Joey, Thank you so much for posting this informative video on MB. There’s just something about these puzzles that are so rewarding when you complete them. Had no idea who Miton was so kudos for a LOT of background work and research. Congratulations on 100 viewers and here’s to many more. Best wishes from Oz. M+C
Reminds me of some wooden puzzles I've done recently, pieces moving all over the place if you just touch it. Beautiful puzzle regardless. Very interesting about the upside down cut.
Congrats on 100 subscribers!
Really interesting information. Love history.
Learned something new, thanks. And Congrats on 100+ subs
I think I'm seeing the link between Marine Corps boot camp and the comments our Drill Instructors make about learning all their games from Milton Bradley. Pretty sure it's the "early childhood development" angle, after all, Marine Recruits are pretty much children. Looking forward to that 100-subscriber episode.
Thanks for a great video!! 😊
Fascinating history about Mr. Milton. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait for the next video!
I love the vintage scenery puzzle. Always wondered about who might have lived there, or built it. Or even try to imagine myself there, lol. You may not have gotten a response because there are too many crazy people out there.
Fun fact, the first "jigsaw puzzle" was a map of Europe, and the edges of the pieces were the borders of the countries. Made in the 1760s
Such a well-done video. The camera play, your smoothness of presentation. This was a solid way to start off. Well done! Finally getting around to seeing your videos. Excited to be a part of the fan club. What kind of puzzles do you want me to keep an eye out for?
Thank you! Thats very high praise ❤️❤️. I’m always looking for the older, rattier type of puzzles. Or unusual ones.
