Hi! Have you just installed protontricks? If not I think yours is not up to date to the current version so you should check for update on the discovery store.

This can cause by another issue and I'm guessing you probably trying to run the game from SD card and not the internal ssd. Right? If so protontricks might need permission to view your SD card. Also can you tell what causing the error? It should be mentioned right below the error line you mentioned.

Sorry not quite following what you mean!! By using fsr 3 your frame rate will be better compare to fsr 2 which the game has it by default for now. The mod just converts fsr 2 to fsr 3.

@@dramaticmudderer5208Game speed has no differences but with fg better average fps and better smoothness. You can turn it off anytime if you want. Video is dropping shortly.. you can check out the overall performance there. Thanks!

@@solidesh I think by "game speed" he means animations and whatever else that're tied to frame rate. For example, 30fps slows down errything to a slo-mo. And higher frame rate over 60fps speeds it up I doubt this game is tied to frame rate since it has no 60fps cap. Generating frames probably doesn't do anything but increase frame rate here

@@cqllel5186 Ahh... I got it now. There is one game i can think right now where i faced slomo/speed up issue. ARAGAMI 2 with lossless scaling. Other than that I've never had any issues with game speed by using framegen tools.

Hmm.. audio sometimes crackles in main memu but never entirely muted for me. Have you tried changing in game audio settings? Maybe try selecting stereo or other options there!

@@nathanblankenberg1478 Current version should automatically install when you run nucleus co-op and download the splinter cell conviction handler from it. No need to download or install anything separately.

Yes tried with Cryo and game stars on SteamOS (at least it did when this video was made). But performance was very poor and Windows was slightly better performing so made this video on windows instead of steamos. And i don't think it's much better now unfortunately... just typical Ubisoft title with crappy optimization.

I do honestly. I play with motion blur in most games.. specially on lower end hardware like SD. It contributes to the smoothness a little, at least in my eyes.

I guess you have UMA Frame Buffer Size set to 4gb from bios. If you revert back to 1gb the fps will be uncapped in snow or near water areas. Unfortunately its just a unfixed bug we have only this one way to deal with!

I was not using frame gen when the server disconnected at the end though. But i agree.. disabling frame gen and turning on fsr plays better for now.

@@solidesh nah it's something that happened to me a lot until I turned off frame gen... Not saying your video was wrong just what I saw personally

Hey! The main reason I'm getting lower temp because i replaced the stock back case/shell with transparent aluminum shell. Similar to JSAUX one but mine came from AliExpress and it's cheaper. Had the same temp issue.. it was always around and sometimes over 90c. Now with the aluminum shell i hardly see 86-87c (even on super heavy load). I'd suggest go for the JSAUX shell if not you can try cheaper chinese models from AliExpress. @@handsomejack2201you can also try just replacing your paste with PTM7950. If you want to use the backplate with the metal shield just make sure you are not going to use a case. Putting a case over the metal shield causes the heat to insulate and the SD to overheat.

@@kotta8kritter Good point. I manually cut the back part of my silicon case too so the heat can passthrough without any blockage.

I changed over to the frost sheet pad and the jasaux shell v2 and it works just as well if not better.

Here how I did it- Go to C:\ProgramData\Ubisoft\Conviction Open ConvictionUserPC.ini Find and change StartupFullscreen=False Now you have to change and put the correct aspect ratio value by calculating the resolution you are using. For example-- Steam Deck' screen res is 1280x800 by default- since me & my buddy both using only half the screen vertically that means 640x800 for each so in the .ini I changed WindowedViewportX=640 and then used google to calculate the aspect ratio of 640x800 which is 0.8 and changed the value of MonitorAspect=0.8 which fixed that unplayable stretch and game started with right scale. *You have to change those value for every player id, ctrl+f will help in that case. *Also you can use this web for aspect ratio calculator shorturl.at/X769q

Hi I think you got me wrong mate! It definitely works on SD with Windows and it also helps to generate double fps (or triple with v2.9) but for a good experience your base game should atleast hit stable 30fps otherwise enabling LSFG will make it laggy and there will be ghosting effects all over it.

@@lawsprayboi1839 Those would not be a very good use case for framegen. Specially FC will do much worse since there is input delay if you turn on framegen and for a fast-paced games game like fifa where timing matters the most would be a mess i imagine. Lol You can try cod single player though it might do alright.. although not completely sure since I've yet to try a cod with lsfg. Any MP game with framegen mostly a big disadvantage for that input delay.

The input delay is there but for me it's not anywhere near unplayable. I would vote for almost not noticable yes.

Hey buddy first of you need to make sure any game you playing can atleast hit a stable locked 30fps.. otherwise LSFG will not give you very good results!! So in your case 15-20 fps is too low to get smoother frames from lossless scaling in any settings.. try lowering the resolution and graphics presets first and then see if it helps. Also new LSFG v2.9 just got released I'm working on some new videos with it.. keep an eye on the channel if you are interested. Cheers!!

@@solidesh yes i understood what you said ..when i keep my reso at 720p it gives me good stable 30fps so i will try on that but what should be the scaling mode with it like should i keep it 1? and yes ive ad v2.8.1...i will surely check your new videos buddy thanks for the info.

​@@anuraggiri4428 LSFG 1.1 is less heavy for cpu but also less accurate in quality and LSFG 2 is a bit more demanding but quality is also better. I would suggest try 2 first and if your base 30 fps dips with it try to go with 1.

This is LCD. And yes oled could deliver around 90 fps.. although gpu load is a bit heavier on X3 mod so game settings might need to set on lowest for a stable 30 fps cap.
