This was my first GNCC race. I was looking forward to a very challenging mud race but things came to a grinding halt before I even finished the first lap.

I was in the same race in open beginner. Great course..!
@@paulwatson5965 yes, that property always has a good coarse. Pretty woods.
Hey there. What jets are you running, clip position, and fuel ratio? Just trying to dial mine in.
@@peteschannel508 Hey Pete, There are two different carb numbers for the IT 200. 43G-00 and 43G-10 They call for different jetting. My main 200 bike has a 43G-10 on it. Pilot-.70 Main -.340 Clip 4th from top. I run 32/1 ratio.
@@froghismightyit6543 thanks for the reply. Just finished repacking my silencer and I did raise my clip to the 4th position. Gonna give that a try and a plug read tomorrow.
@@peteschannel508 hopefully you can get it dialed in. 🏁 Good luck!
@@froghismightyit6543 another question for ya. I got the 4th clip position and that def woke it up, less smoke and more power. Plug looked good on test nice and brown, think I got it dialed but wanted to know what's your stock compression? I'm around 123psi. Wasn't too long ago it was rebuilt. Thanks
@@peteschannel508 great ! On a fresh bore new piston and rings mine seems to be around 170psi. With just over 150 racing /practicing hrs it was down to 140psi. I could tell it was weaker and I rebuilt again. Everyone says that each gauge can be different and it’s best to check with multiple gauge’s. I’ve never been able to do that though.
Good ride, congratulations! It was great talking to you at the race; always nice seeing a celebrity!
🤣 No celebrity here! Only celebration is finishing with no injuries. Always good to see you and glad to see you back racing.
Alright ! It has been awhile ....
It’s getting too hot down here in Ga. 🥵
You the man 🐸
Thanks my friend. Saw you in the sign up area but wasn’t able to get to you to say hello.
@@froghismightyit6543 whoops. Slap me next time that'll get my attention 😂
Fantastic riding!!!!
Thanks
Congrats on the win!
Thanks Donnie. Hope you are healed up and ready to go.
Love your videos, you are one hell of a rider. How old are you? I am restoring my IT 200 barn find almost done. At 60 dont think i will ever ride like you do again. I do love to watch it thank you. I loved to ride em hard when i was young but my off road is rusty and dont want to get hurt. fun to watch and tool tru the forest
Thanks for the kind words. I’m two years behind you. Until 3 or 4 years ago I hadn’t ridden a motorcycle for 30 plus years and never dreamed that I would be riding now. There are some very fast 60 plus year olds racing, so deep inside of you it’s still in there. The IT 200 is a great bike and congrats on your barn find. Once you get it finished get out there and you will find that young racer coming out again. Let me know if you need any help with your 200. What state are you in?
@@froghismightyit6543 Im in Barnes Wisconsin. one mile from Cheumagon Nat Forest where I can ride. You want some one to follow you come on up and ride.
@@kentwalley1207 Thanks for the invite. Don’t know that I’ll ever get that far north to ride but I bet it’s a beautiful place to ride.
What kind of handlebar brush guards do you use i need a set for my IT
I’m not really sure. Several of the ones that I use came on bikes that I bought. I did buy some from Rocky Mountain Atv. They were tusk brand. Like the old bark busters.
Lv it, that was a good machine
Awesome race man!! Love the channel!!
Thanks!!
I had an 83 it 250 it was one of if not the best bike I ever owned I won a lot of trophies with that bike back oh the 80,s mine cylinder was ported and polished had an awnser silincer on it it was a rocket sold it in 88 thought I wanted a lighter bike got a new rm250 and was never satisfied the susuki just wasn’t as good in the woods worst mistake Yamaha ever made was stop making IT,s
I couldn’t believe that Yamaha quit making them. I believe if they built a new IT they would sell like crazy. I thought the IT 200 was the best one but I’m thinking that the 83 It 250 may be the best one.
@@froghismightyit6543 I definitely agree I had a 77 IT 175 loved it I completely wore it out but the 83 it 250 in my opinion was one of the best bikes Yamaha ever made

What's the most recent year in the vintage class
I think it’s just air cooled and drum brakes. They do have a pre modern class that allows disc brakes.
Hey Frog, looks like we have similar interests and you tube channels. I have vintage and Ahrma races videos which include vintage motocross, enduro, and trials. I started adding short videos to my page and I have gotten a lot of views and interest from them. ruclips.net/channel/UCGmVdo-IDS-5O0BlhkO-tAQ
Well done sir.
Thanks
Great riding! I’ll have to join in on the fun in the 20+ year old bike class with one of my 90’s bikes after I heal up
Get healed up and come on out.
How you keep your camera so steady? Where you mounting it? On chest protector? Really steady
It’s zip tied onto my chest protector. GoPro 9. My old GoPro was horrible mounted on the same place.
Congratulations on the win!
Thanks !
Great riding, enjoyed the ride and the gopro was perfect,
Thanks, I’ve fought with the GoPro enough, maybe we’re finally getting it right.
Your amazing great videos. Love your stories and your bike..
Thanks for watching.
Frog, it was great to meet you Saturday, congrats on you podium. Great video
Thanks Mike, it was great to meet all your group as well.
I'll be honest, the narration was a little much. I race with the OCCRA series. I am a usual in the post vintage class where I ride either my 1981 Suzuki PE175 or my 1982 Suzuki RM465. Watching this video reminded me that the class is technically A live engine start class, but we all collectively choose to do a dead engine start just to show those rule makers that these old bikes can start easily, too.
Great riding Frog! Congrats on the win.
Thanks Donnie.
Mixing gas and hauling ass! The younger crowd could learn alot about passing by watching your vids. Keep them coming, your impressing this old guy!
Thanks for watching!!
shout out at 20.50 helping that young man get out of that hole it was deep!!
Good on you. It’s no fun when you’re the one on the hole.
I was standing at the little mud hole at the 16:31 mark, and many of the new bikes had a hard time, and you just went through that area like it was nothing. I laughed and told my dad that you were showing those newer bikes how's it done.
Got to keep moving. Great property and trail. Thanks
💪🏻
Awesome video love that IT bike
Hey Frog, seems like if you really want your IT to win, you need to have your wife enter the race....... So glad to see back in action!
That’s a great idea maybe I can talk her into it. Thanks
I have a IT200 just like yours and I'm wondering where you buy your parts for it?
Some you can still get from Yamaha. Lots on eBay, can be expensive though. Several Facebook IT groups, beware of the scammers. I’ve bought several IT 200’s for parts only. There’s a whole world of IT people out there.
Nearly everything vintage is sagging too much.....lol
Good stuff . Wish the SETRA wasn't so far away....
Yes, it’s nice when they are close to home.
Great video Frog!!
Thanks
I need to get my wife on board with that training routine! Great video!
Good luck with your wife 🤣. Thanks
Best vintage bike for enduro/hare? 250+
I’m liking this 250. 👍🏻👍🏻
You've got a trooper of a coach! Wheelchair clip was great.
Yes,she always gives 110%.
You ever try a newer bike for a race? You're plenty fast.
Murica!
Damn impressive on that vintage iron.
one tough Frog...kudos to Jason for the assist
A sore 🐸. Yes, Jason was a life saver for me.
The white leather gloves and cargo pants...priceless
They’re more comfortable than the stuff that the new riding gear is made of. 😉
Awesome video man! I just subscribed!
Thanks and thanks!!
Sick bike dude!
I love the IT race bikes! I have one I just raced for the first time, 1977 IT175.
Awesome, let’s keep these old bikes on the tracks. Where did you race?
Man you're videos are awesome , heal up man .
Thanks so much. Feeling a lot better. Raced on Sunday 😳. Wasn’t to bad, just moving a little slower.
Awesome video love that bike
Love that 250. You can't find them...490 ' s , 200 's , 175 ....all day but not that last gen 250....
You are correct sir. I’m starting to think that the 83 250 may be the cream of the crop!
I was in this class on 07rm 450, I learned that I was not in shape, made 2 laps and was exhausted! First sorcs race I've been in since Cochran 7 years ago! I Still had a good time and it was a day me and my son spent with each other, he at least finished his race.....Enjoyed the video
Awesome that you can race with your son. This was a tough track to come back on. I wish the Cochran race was still going. Thanks for watching.
You ride like an old man who grew up with a throttle. Not trying to race actually but having fun passing everyone all the same haha
That’s all we knew as kids!!
That's the kind of racing that I could get into.
Come on a support the class and hopefully they will continue to have it.
