Transcript: Welcome, today we will learn how to manage your library card through the Illinois Central College library. First go to icc.edu/library, scroll down past the search bar and find where it says "my library card." Select manage. To log in, select Illinois Central College Users, and then select either faculty/staff or student. If you are a student your library username will be that first part of your email address before the @ and your password will be ICC in all capital letters and the last 5 digits of your social security number. You are also able to access your library card through the main library search. If you go up to the top of the screen and select your name or sign in, you will be able to select library card. When you are on the “My Library Card page,” you will be able to manage your loans by selecting “Loans” in the center of the screen or the loans tab up at the top of the screen. You will see the loans that you have and you will be able to renew those loans by selecting renew. You will also be able to see more information about the book you have by selecting the down arrow. You will be able to see your requests, these are books you have requested through interlibrary loan or books that you have requested to be delivered to your library from a different library. You can select requests in the center of the screen or at the top of the screen. Your requests will be able to be cancelled from the requests screen and you can also see more information about your requests by using the up and down arrow. If you have multiple requests you will able to organize them by request type or sort them by status or title. You will also be able to see what the status of the request is at the top of the request. For example, this request is an interlibrary loan request, meaning ILL, and the request has been sent to the partner. You will also be able to see where you have planned to pick up this request. If you have lost a book, or not turned in a book that was due in the past, you will notice that in the loans tab, the due date of the book will be in red and you will have an entry for that book in fines and fees. Fines and fees can be found in the center of the screen or at the top of the screen. Once you are in the fines and fees tab you will be able to see what the fee will be for a current lost book. Please contact the library if you have any issues with fines and fees. If you select blocks and messages you will be able to see if you have been blocked from checking books out from the library and you will see any messages the library has sent you.
