The Confraternity of the Precious Blood has a little book called "My Daily Psalms" that is a pocket psalter arranged according to the one week cycle of canonical hours - same as the Roman Breviary. No propers or responsory or antiphons or etc. But the basic psalter and canticles. Good starter to wet ones whistle so to speak. I

I love the idea of what you all are talking about. It strikes me that this is a profoundly peaceful, happy, Catholic way of life. To live on a farm with one’s spouse and a large number of children; with animals, both pets and animals to provide food; with a vegetable garden and and a wood source for heat and light; a water source, and so on. It’s okay to have electricity and running water but it’s best if we and our children know that these blessings ultimately come from God. I’m far too old to do this now, because my children are all in their 40s. If I could do start over, though, I would find a young man who shared my beliefs and raise a large family with him, on a farm, and every day we would pray together and be as Catholic as possible😊.

Great discussion. People should definitely see all 3 episodes. But episode 3 isn’t quite as coherent and should have better explained what’s actually going on now. And it was too easy on Francis. By the end, seems like we should be thanking him for inflicting this suffering, because it develops our virtue of hope. Or none of this really matters because it could be reversed in a few hundred years. So the end is a bit frustrating. But it’s still a great trilogy.

I do the Little Office of the BVM, been thinking about leveling up to the Breviary but my latin still needs some work , with the Little office I divide the day in 3 blocks: an hour before day break matins/lauds/prime; an hour before sundown the rest of the hours and compline before bed.

This just makes the protestant look like an a**hole. Good job at representing!
