Hint for the large jumps: press f2 on your keyboard to open options (mouse scroll button to enable cursor, then click the in-game option button), then go to keybind, set the sprint button to "W". So you dont have to hold shift to run. Also, you can set crouch button to shift, it can let you do slide jump easier.
