    Does a series 1 cap and/or nozzle fit on a series 2? I have purchased a used ws 400 series 2 and the cap is damaged which cost 130€ in germany. So would like to change the ws-400-03 cap with a ws-400-01 series 1 cap.

      @cheftipp i have used the series 1 cap on the series 2. I am pretty sure the fluid nozzle has different threads though. So if you have a series 1 cap you can try it on the series 2. It worked for me.

    Have serial 2 digital for two weeks and at 2 bar always have 8 pattern. My serial 1 Mamba way better and I had my Mamba more than 5 years.

      @walterwalters3069 That's great you have your setup you like. I really like both of the guns but I prefer the series 2. I have found I do not need to crank pressure to 2 bar. I usually spray mine at 1.6 to 1.8 bar. Thanks for commenting.

      @Stoiction They make a base cap that works great but if you needed to you could use the clear cap for base.

    HI GOOD VIDEO THANKS FOR SHARING THAT INFORMATION WOULD YOU SAY ITS GOOD AS IWATT SERIES 2 1.3DH I HAVE THE SAGOLA EXTREME AQUA 4600 1.3 NON DIGITAL VERSION MY MATE SAID ANDY GET THE TITANIA PRO CAP 😉 YOU GET A LOVELY FINSH WHATS IT LIKE FOR BASE COAT PAINT SOLVENT WITH THE BLUE AQUA CAP 😊

      Compared to the iwata series 2 1.3 hd? I would say the the Sagola is more of a production gun but can still put on a great finish. The Iwata series 2 is slower and puts on a little better finish. A lot of times the Iwata puts on too good of a finish for matching the original factory finish. So if I was doing show cars I would use the Iwata, production painting the Sagola. I haven't used the aqua cap, but the new Sagola black basecoat cap works great. I have a review coming out soon for the black basecoat cap.

      @@J-SPRAYAUTOMOTIVEPAINTING so you would say if I have a bonnet to paint and a bumper used my new sagola 4600 1.3 NON DIGITAL VERSION and get the titania pro cap I have a new iwata series WS400 1.3 OBS BLUE CAP but never used it

      @ANDY-we7mr the titania pro cap is great! Can't go wrong with that air cap. I had the obs 1.3 iwata series 2 for base but it was too slow for the basecoat I use. It depends on the basecoat. It sprayed fantastic with the previous basecoat I used.

    That clear you are using is very liquid, to use 25 psi, my sr2 I use it at least 33psi to 35psi to obtain a mirror result, if I use less than 30 psi, the result is orange peel. I use clear coat hs and uhs, with the uhs I use a little more pressure

    • @J-SPRAYAUTOMOTIVEPAINTING
      @J-SPRAYAUTOMOTIVEPAINTING 7 месяцев назад

      The clear was really nice at 25 psi but if I wanted it to be more mirror like I would definitely raise the pressure up a little. The pressure was really good to match the finish of the car. You are right though if you wanted it to lay really glass like definitely would have put it up to around 30 psi.Thanks for the comment!

      @@J-SPRAYAUTOMOTIVEPAINTING Now, to simulate the original finish with the micro orange peel if that pressure is good, in my case I do more custom work, than original finishes, so I use more pressure to achieve the mirror finish 😁

    Your test proves absolutely nothing, except that series 1 can work at a lower operating pressure than series 2. The narrow pattern in the middle clearly shows that the pressure is higher than necessary. The pressure you chose (25 psi) is not any "magic" pressure, but only the one that is predicted for the normal operation of the series 2. This does not prove that the series 1 is bad, on the contrary, it could be said that according to that criterion series 1 is better than series 2, because it can achieve the same result with the use of lower pressure, as well as a slightly smaller amount of compressed air (expressed in cfm). Paint guns are not tested in this way, because the results obtained are not authoritative. You can't compare "apples and oranges" as they say. Better come up with a real test, which will be a real indicator of the quality of these paint guns. One of the criteria can be the result they achieve, and then compare what were the necessary prerequisites for achieving the same result. Then you compare those conditions (working pressure, air consumption, paint consumption, distance from the surface you are painting, etc.). The way it was done seems unprofessional, even from an amateur's point of view.

      Thanks for the reply, I paint all day every day and have used these guns extensively. They both work great at lower pressure but the series 1 can only go so low for pressure and still atomize the clear. They are both fantastic spray guns. In my opinion they perform the same but the series 2 is more refined. This is only my opinion and to me I would recommend the series 2. Thanks for commenting!
