The Joy Ride is a round-trip train ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR), also known as the Toy Train, between Darjeeling and Ghum: Route: The train travels from Darjeeling to Ghum and back, passing through Batasia Loop and stopping at Ghum for 30 minutes. Attractions: The train passes by many well-known sights, including Batasia Loop, where passengers can stop to take photos, and Ghum, which is home to the Ghum Monastery and India's highest railway station. Duration: The round trip journey includes a stop at Batasia Loop and Ghum. Fare: The fare includes entry to the DHR Railway Museum in Ghum. Booking: You can book tickets online through the IRCTC Next Generation eTicketing System. Season: The best months to experience the Toy Train are October, November, and December. Concessions: Female senior citizens of at least 58 years of age are eligible for a 50% concession, and male senior citizens of at least 60 years are eligible for a 40% concession. The DHR is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the mountain railways of India. It's a narrow-gauge railway that was built between 1879 and 1881 and covers a distance of about 88 kilometers
