Contra Costa Transportation Authority
США
Добавлен 17 апр 2015
The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) is a public agency formed by Contra Costa voters in 1988 to manage the county's transportation sales tax program and oversee countywide transportation planning efforts. CCTA is responsible for planning, funding and delivering critical transportation infrastructure projects and programs that connect our communities, foster a strong economy, increase sustainability, and safely and efficiently get people where they need to go. CCTA also serves as the county's designated Congestion Management Agency, responsible for putting programs in place to keep traffic levels manageable.

Hate cannot be tolerated. In Walnut Creek CA. racism and hate are the laws of the land. From the lying racist Contra Costa County fire department who will frame innocent law-abiding minorities by starting small fires “investigating” them then determining the “suspect” to be an innocent law abiding minority. Then they will team with the lying racist Walnut Creek police department to harass and surveil the innocent law abiding minority to the fullest extent of the “law”. But they give out toys at Christmas time…..these are proud criminals. Remember Sonya Massey, We must Love we must pray.
I love that these meetings and presentations are available on RUclips to keep the community informed

It would have been smart to show how much less space public transportation uses vs individual cars. Right now, as a viewer it's really hard to tell what exactly the goal behind this video is; and it's easy to interpenetrate what's being said. I would suggest retrying this video concept with a greater focus on how more robust public infrastructure, dedicated bus lanes, pedestrian walkways , and bike ways can all work to reduce traffic for those that actually need to drive. Though I see the intentions behind this video, I doubt anyone passing by will be able to resonate with it's message since it feels like the video is telling us, "don't drive or you're a bad person." When in actuality, people drive because it's either far more convenient or they simply have no other way of getting to all their destinations in a timely manner otherwise. I live in Antioch so I really feel it. You guys are really close to getting the message across, keep at it!
The most obvious answer, (we stop building housing in the East Bay and creating jobs on the SF Peninsula) is out of the question. We can’t stop driving single occupant vehicles back and forth, so HOV lanes are the best of an absurd situation.
I am not going to increase my travel time to reduce my VMT. I have to work out of multiple sites and unless you start building transporters, I'll drive.
The only lie in this video is general education students still have school buses in this county.
Hi! Thank you for watching. There are school bus programs in parts of Contra Costa County (for example, www.ridetraffix.com/). If you think expanded school bus programs should be a priority, we'd love to hear from you - visit our website or email us at info@ccta.net
Two words: Induced Demand.
I really, really wish CCTA would move away from "Innovative Transportation and Technology" projects and set their sights on quick-build, low-cost, protected bike and ped infrastructure.
Thank you for your comment.
@@contracostatransportationa2131 Thank you for acknowledging.

Even the locals will be rejected in the next electionif you are leftist Democrats. Me, im a JFK Democrat. Get on board or be voted out. Hell no, Americans will not be forced into bus transportation. Good luck!
Morons if they are a part of the Lefts "Green New Deal" who celebrate the rise in Gas in gas prices in sacrifice of " the cause". To force Americans into electric powered cars, walking, or bikes. Well. Leftists do have that "look" and these so called "advisory board" members are probably promoting the Agenda. Good to you go in 2022-2024.

I walk on that every day
So basically the only funded part is going to make this intersection dumber and then we wait around until the real fix comes eventually? awesome
what about San Luis St. itself??? You should stop the carpoolers from the old OSH from using San Luis St. from Carlson as a thouroughfare to skirt 80 in the mornings. (One way is to extend the one-way portion of Van Fleet ~75' down the hill) Route the San Luis frontage portion traffic up Columbia to San Mateo merging with this plan.
Instead of two turn lanes going right on Balfour, it should be two lanes turning south. More traffic goes left
Great video. It would be nice, however, if the CCTA would be more explicit in explaining that the McBryde offramp and the WB El Portal onramp will be eliminated. It would also be nice to know where they stand with the financing. This project has been in the works for nearly a decade with the financing being the big hold up. Relocating the WB El Portal onramp to the east end of El Portal could eliminate thousands of cars per day from the SPDR/I80 bottleneck.
Too bad the planners missed an opportunity to put in proper bike infrastructure. This is a very popular route, and would have been a great place to put in bike paths separated by a curb, rather than just a lane with some painted stripes.
