Genius. Is it possible to load a GEOPDF or GEOTIFF chart on it, for example? Like a new layer. We, in Brazil, have IFR flight charts in GEOPDF format and I would like to test them in this excellent APP.
I am having a tough time finding in the documentation if the nav log headings include wind corrections and corrections for local magnetic variations. Are the headings in the navlogs corrected?
Am I stupid or can you just not see leg bearings and distances 🤦♂️
Nice presentation but my screen never showed the the airport diagram box so that left me dead in the water. Selecting Maps only showed a splotch with a plane in the middle and none of the available blocks to proceed. Routes only showed a sample route and would not open any Future Routes. I either got an incomplete App or this isn't going to work on my iPhone.
Is there a way to quickly change between procedure pages instead of having to go back to the list of procedures and select it?
Could we get an updated video? The interface has changed and it doesn't seem to work like described here.
Can’t upload breadcrumbs to fltplngo
I know this will be hard for you to comprehend, but some people actually use androids.
Time to take down this archaic video
It’s still accurate.
It's greatest
Not sure yet
Excellent and quick overview. Thank you!
I would like to be able to create a flight plan in FltPlanGo in my X-plane 11 simulator. The airplanes in X-plane11 don't seem to have things like hours of fuel on board, etc. What tail # do I use? A step by step video would be nice for X-plane 11 users.
I have a question about breadcrumbs. How do I delete the breadcrumb tracks from the maps?
Underneath the enable button it says clear breadcrumbs
Thank you. I needed to remove several breadcrumbs routes on the map. I wish all my questions could be answered this easily.
I'm using Xplane11. Does this video actually file a flight plan with FAA? Or can it be used in a flight simulator without actually filing with FAA?
no reason to hit file if it's not in real life.
how do you make a note on approach charts, eg:- i want to write distance when i will start my final decent on the approach plates inside the box. how do i make that happen? coz user guide doesn't explain that at all.

How do you create a Navlog? I'm new to your app
Awesome, I would like to learn more, for sure.
I agree with Kenny. YOU may be a wizard and understand all there is to know, but....not being able to tell me this information makes this worthless and VERY frustrating. Slow down, and loose the Valley girl cadence
cannot find the app within iOS App Store when search for fltplan
Well done and excellent overview of FltPlan Go. Thank you much for making this available.
How can I get maps to work in the first place?
This is a terrible “101”! You started in the middle. How about starting from the beginning and tell us how to properly load Maps which is really the first thing you need to do. Forgot to mention that the estimated time of departure shall be in local time and not zulu. My flight got delayed because I filed in zulu lol
A lot of acryonms for the new person who is learning..
you may wanna change your password after this....Just saying
Aviation needs more of these apps
Can you view the breadcrums on the web, on your Fltplan.com account?
please how do you link or configure this with flight sim via xplane 10 your help will be very much appreciated
Does rubber banding only work with a mouse? When I use my finger on my tablet the popup menu appears only. the route will not move.
Love Fltpln!!!!!
they should add e-signatures like Garmin Pilot and Foreflight
@MichaelBaraz As you probably know, the distance is needed to correct for the curvature of the earth. For distances less than 30 miles, this is not much of a factor. I'm sure when you are flying, you have some sense of how far off the clouds are. You might not be able to tell 40 from 60 miles, but you can probably tell 20 miles from 60 miles. After you lock the image, (with the green line on the tops) you can assess the situation and check possible distances (by using the distance changer) and see the effect on the cloud tops As you keep approaching the clouds, you can continue to recheck distances and cloud tops. As to having airborne radar, having the distance to the radar tops (echo tops)is very valuable for IFR pilots flying in high altitude aircraft.
How do you determine the distance from the clouds?
That is the same question I have. I guess one will have to guess the distance, which for me I think it will be difficult to accurately gauge. I guess as you move closer you will have to re-asses the distance and re-check. Maybe someone else here will have a better answer.
Woww! These EFBs/electronics/ITs though make flying safer, but getting more complicated; easy though, once you have mastered the IT part :-) Just watched the sample video, that's great, even takes into consideration the curvature of the earth, I guess that's for hi-flying big-boys, not a casual PPL like me.
As a professional pilot I used a few of the other paid flight planning apps for many years and only used FltPlan as a backup if needed. Since retiring and now flying general aviation for fun I started using FltPlan Go exclusively. It's not only free but it does some things the others don't do or it does it easier and the best part, did I mention, IT'S FREE !!! I also emailed for support and got a reply the same day. This company is awesome !!
this video was so helpful. thank you fltplan.com!
Thanks, Fltplan! It's an excellent pilot-resource.
Powerful features! If I'm not speaking with a FSS briefer before flight, I file with Fltplan.
