How come I got lass and my game soft locked

I already got a Mew. Will be using other long range trainers to obtain infinite uses of Earthquake and Body Slam, since most endgame 'mons want those moves either for physical coverage or as a main attack.

instead of missingno, I received chansey. I play on an emulator, I don't really know if the glitch was patched

so in theroy you can do this to get both nidoking and gengar?

Does this glitch work multiple time on one save file or is it a one and done glitch?

I don't remember if it counts as a glitch, but whenever a pokemon in gen 1 has a super high catch rate & keeps escaping the pokeball immediately, it will only shake the ball if you actually succeed in the catch.

Make sure that you have a slot open for him in the party. Pulling him out of the box softlocks 😂

I got a level 2 nidoking I unfortunately waited to long his health was very low I threw like 4 to 5 pokeballs and he wouldn't be caught then he killed himself. I had a lvl 12 pikachu I'm wondering if it changes the glitch if it was lvl 1 it should have been caught I mean health was in the red stubborn nidoking... 😣

If these pokemon arnt working ,I also read up if you find a level 3 (I found a LV. 4) Rattata after the forest before Brocks gym doing this same glitch in order just instead of a pidgy and caterpie it worked for me right away and i went fully through with the glitch make sure he turned LV100 and it all worked out for me

Doing more than 60% damage is diminishing returns. Basically 40% health remaining is about the sweet spot.

It's so much harder to get the timing right in Crystal than in Gold/Silver. In G/S, you can turn your device off the second the screen says "saving"...

After you fuse the pokemon with the mew, can It still learn any move?

I did this and got a L2 nidoking but the stats did not increase to level 100😢

I would save the other trainers too because you can get other Pokemon too. You can also get a second Mew in the gym too. Recommend saving the game before trying to walk and hit save.

You can also in theory do it in cinnabar island using a wild ditto and trainer flying from a unfought trainer

Hey if I'm really far in the game..like I've completed the game and have several boxes stuff Pokemon, items, etc: Is this safe? Is there too much data that can't be saved in time? Or is it like..only the poke box is what is saved and the other game data is untouched?

I doubt you’ll read my comment If you or, anyone else can tell me how hard is it to do the save glitch because it’s also the same thing with the starters in Crystal and I wanna know if this is easy to do because I know how easy it is to do it on gold and silver

I’m late as heck for this but if it’s not working with the caterpies in Viridian, try doing the escape rope, then the Mt moon path event first, then look for a level 3 pidgey in the grass south of pewter (before you enter the building to viridian). Then as you would with the caterpie, use growl on it till nothing happens and kill it, then head directly into viridian, and this should spawn the lv1 nidoking

My friend group as little kids somehow figured this out. I thought it was so cool!

This is wild. I wish I knew this before I got so far in the game, but I always try and beat all these trainers and I always miss out on the glitches. Super cool vid tho!

Ok so i know this video is old but just a warning. If you already did the trick to get the level 100 gengar (dying to the trainer in brocks gym) and try and use the escape rope again in front of the same trainer, you will no longer be able to open your start menu.

I’m doing it on the rom Hack Crystal Legacy and they improved saving speed so I can’t do it

Step 1: Escape from long range trainer Step 2: Encounter lvl 4 caterpie and use growl on it 6 times at least, then kill it. Step 3: Get dragged over to the gym by the man who walks through walls. Step 4: Go to viridian forest and get jumped by a lvl 1 nidoking
