Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :) Do you mean Limewashing the cabinets? I wouldn't recommend using limewash on cabinets because it's a high touch area. Limewash isn't like paint where you can touch up if it gets dirty. You have to repaint the limewash for the entire surface area or else it'll look blotchy. Limewash is also prone it chipping. If you want to achieve the limewash look, I'd recommend diluting 2 shades of the same color paint (ex. light brown and dark brown), then applying it in a criss-cross patern on the wall to mimic limewash.

The cream wash makes it look whiter. If you see any yellow undertones, it’s from the original wood. If you want your wood piece to look closer to white, you can add more white to your wash. It’s very flexible. Hope this helps!

I left the wash on. I let the wood absorb whatever it can and then wipe off the excess. Hope this helps!

I used gorilla spray on glue to attach the burlap. The wooden frame also holds the burlap onto the wardrobe. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you very much! The primer I used is a shellac based primer. You should be able to find that brand at your hardware store. If you can’t find BIN, sherwin Williams also makes a shellac based primer. Hope this helps and good luck with your project! LMK if you have any other questions 🫶🏼

A few months. I painted an Ikea unit off white to match my walls. I used the oil based polyurethane and now I have a yellow unit. I'm going to redo it as it looks like crap. LOL. Maybe it won't be as obvious on your project, but it was real obvious on my white paint. @@Kelly_Tang

Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad the cost break down in part 1 was helpful. The quartz countertop was about $10k total with material and labor cost. I don’t remember the breakout but it was roughly $5k for material and $5k for labor. We did the flooring for the entire house and it cost ~$15k for labor and material. The recess lights were about $200 each to install, so for our kitchen alone, it was $1.2k (we have 6 lights). I hope this helps!

Thank you for the cost breakdown. Although you may be in a different region and your specs will likely be different, it gives the DIYer needed perspective. Thank you so much, Paulette! I just used a polyester paint brush for the polyurethane coat. But in retrospect, I would’ve used a foam brush instead so I can just throw it away. The polyurethane is very difficult to wash out of the paint brush!
