    I had a zoom-in issue on my Sec+ exam too! It was crazy, I could tell with both pbq's that something was wrong... I was at a test center and luckily I had 2 nice ladies who quickly fixed the issue, but I was stressing as the time was still counting down. Punched a bunch of random answers last second just to get something in, and passed with 763. Definitely would've failed if not for speaking up about the problem.

    I think doing the hands on portion after obtaining the cert is also fine. I use these theocratical multiple choice certs as the knowledge I need to understand the hands on portion afterwards. At the end of the day, just the cert alone won’t get you the job, you have to prove to the employer you have practical hands on skills to do the job, so what I’m saying is you have to eventually get hands on experience regardless.

  • @Zorfour

    I was thinking of doing certs on my own then going back to school and using those to check off the degree classes. Does that sound like a good idea or would it be better to enroll at WGU first and get vouchers from their classes?

    I am enrolled in this course im a very quick learner and to give perspective to this I started July 2024. I have 3 courses done . I have already imported 39% completion in gen ed credits so at the rate I’m going at I should be able to finish in exactly 6 months . With that being said the title of this is kind if misleading. Just because he brought in 0 credits doesn’t mean he’s not experienced . Playing around on tryhack me for months and having a job in IT will do wonders for you . If your fresh don’t expect to zoom thru the course in 6 months if your bringing in 0 credits . This guy is an either a lot more experienced in IT then he’s saying he is or he’s just just plain capping . To finish the whole course with gen Eds and 0 transferred credits with 0 exp in IT. No chance you’ll finish in 6 months lol.

    So you can actually speed run through the BS Cybersecurity program? With no limitations?

    • @cyberproaustin
      @cyberproaustin 7 месяцев назад

      As long as you keep passing the classes. Your program mentor likely won't let you have more than 4 classes open at a time, but as you pass them, your mentor will allow you to open new ones and start them. As fast as you can pass them is as fast as you can get your degree.
