This painted a picture for me instantly. Just for context to why while traveling I have seen mountains so giant from so far away you can drive all day without them moving from the angle you are viewing them. The picture it painted for me was imagining if all this was inside a cave system. A cave system taller than any mountain on earth. As a child we grew up exactly where we see now and all the lights we see are of other civilizations. Its as if your in the international space station looking out. All these places you see are teaming with life with culture so diverse you can't even imagine it. Imagine picking a place on this beautiful piece of art and seeing it your whole life knowing that one day you would journey to there. Maybe start a new life there. Your whole life seeing the raw unmanifested beginning of what would one day be the exact place you live out the rest of your life. You will grow old with your wife and grand children. They will all be able to look out at a similar picture but in reverse and you will be able to point to the location you came from all those many years ago. Your grand children will beg for you to repeat the tales of your journey for the rest of your life. Especially during the cold months when everything transforms into an ice world. By this point they know just enough about your route that they can point to a location and ask what it was like there. How many years did you travel from this point to that point? Did you ever give up on trying to make it to this place? There answer maybe something like life was full of confusion and hardship. This single point from my view all those years was the only dream I held onto. I could not let it escape. I knew if I could make it to there everything else would fall into place. I had the easy part. Make it to here and live the story develops around me. My family will take care of the rest. I feel my own life is similar to this. In this new age we don't have many grand adventures. I had all the confusion but no destination on earth. Even as a child I had this dream though. Become an adult and have children as fast as possible. My dream was to become the best grandpa ever. I only had a short time with my grandpa before he passed. The rest of my family were all dead beats. Poverty and everything that comes with that. Whole child hood was a waste. Life was finally able to begin for me once I had my children though. No matter what your life looks like or how long it took to get there. You can always count on your children and take it easy. Now it is them that make up the rest of your story. We always have a direct part in our stories. When we are alone though we are our only authors. Our children birth new characters in these stories and carry the rest of the story forward whether we continue the story or not. They carry this torch and a journey it is to watch them.
