You are mixing up the Custodes and the Astartes, the Custodes are a lot stronger and they basically do nothing unless terra is directly being attacked (other than the talons of the emperor), and the Astartes are the all male poster boys of 40k, most books have space marines in them and if I were to go into further detail about either of these groups of warriors I would end up falling down a rabbit hole that would leave me typing for hours.

To add to what @isaacellison5 said, yes, it is the Custodes that have had female members introduced in the past. Interestingly however, we may be seeing GW backtrack and retcon this change, as they released a guidebook recently that referred to the Custodes only as male. Female Space Marines I see more as a point of argument on a cultural level more than a lore one - it's not about "inclusion", it's about the people pushing this wanting to exert their will upon others and change whatever is loved by those they resent. I.e. they want to make female Astartes, not because of inclusivity as an end, but to use inclusivity arguments as a means by which to flex socio-political muscle and to "conquer" another franchise (that said, the Custodes lore reversion keeps hope on our side!)

@isaacellison5 I was thinking of whichever GW ticked off 3/4rs of the payer base by retconning women into the ranks. I mean, in the spirit of "inclusivity" I could have an army of Custodes, Chaos, Tyranid. Eldar and Ork Boyz because of Diversity and Inclusivity. I'd love to see the Tournaments deal with that.

@@viksox13I don’t mind the idea of female Custodes (gw could have introduced them a lot better, like not having their appearance on tides be a very dislike-able character), but I dislike the idea of female space marines as it is incredibly dumb lore-wise and would change SO much lore. The female Custodes aren’t so bad as the Custodes are rarely talked about let alone put as main characters.

I’d have you refer to my reply to your other comment on why I chose the same repeated voice lines. As for the Grimaldus speech, it simply lacks the desired time and is too low-energy in its delivery for what I am looking for. Regarding “slop for gym bros”, I will post what I want and am not inclined to argue with data on which videos perform better or worse. That said, did you have any specific examples from the multitude of speeches out there? Something high-energy and aggressive?
