Boycott Portland , the most antisemitic in America
Irritating
What will you do to lower energy bills for the RESIDENTS of South Portland? We are suffering with increased rents and no benefits besides being allowed to sleep in apartments that aren't being properly maintained to the standards such rents demand.
Congratulations to mayor dion for making it through a whole sentence without needing to gasp for breath
This was a wonderful talk for someone not from Portland.
Sehr gut gemacht, bitte weiter so!
Thanks for posting this, very informative!
You authorized 2 million on grants to help asylum locals, while encouraging elderly residents to compromise thier home ownership with a reverse mortgage to pay for your feel good policy. I'm so glad I no longer live in south Portland
I am a black & white person get to the point in plan English !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what are you trying to say ..? maine people are getting screwed again ?????
Terrific and heartbreaking and inspirational. I’m proud to live in Montpelier!
The reason why elderly didn't apply was why have a mortgage when ours is already paid off and I am old now. As for working families. My son lives with us due to he can't even build a home for the land he does own. He makes good money but the cost of living in MAINE is to HIGH and over TAXED. The cost of raising a child is hard and a disabliabled one is harder. His son can't get ssd due to my son makes to much money now. Also he is paying back ssd for overpaid amount for the 3rd time in 2 years. Also who could pay the taxes on the house for the price of 326,000 and the value of over 1 million dollars.
This is a really, really bad, misleading title. I live in Montpelier - this film is about response and recovery (which were impressive and praise-worthy efforts), and has little to do with resilience. If the floods recur in the near future, much of the downtown businesses will give up - only incremental gains in resilience have been made thus far. Making the city less susceptible to flood damage is a gargantuan task that involves decades of river restoration work on the entirety of the upstream watershed and rebuilding downtown so that floods are less damaging (and more easily recovered from). Resilience is more about the ability to better withstand recurrence of rainstorms like this rather than one-off response efforts, no matter how impressive. Please be careful with your wording, as you contribute to prevalent mis-characterizations.
A state of this once-estimable Republic that lets itself be swamped by Somalis and other undesirables has no serious interest in "preserving the local color." So don't insult our intelligence, you cowards.
Really great film Tom. Community working together at its best.
Brought everyone together. Good Work! Awesome! Setting up the fundraising to get immediate grants is genius....Congrats!
One day this man will be charged with sedition and treason, mark my words. Funding illegal immigrants to grow capitalism
Go Danielle! So proud of you!
Thank You! Great Information-
Pathetic
Affirmative action figures are low IQ.
You don't get treated with respect because you are a burden on society. Your needs should be met by YOU and not society. Nobody owes you anything, but you, if you choose. However you will obey and respect the laws of society you are mooching off.
Capitalism to the people...nice slogan. My question is why are you satisfied with your company, DC Management, and how they treat tenants? Refusing to renew a lease of a 4-year tenant , who not only paid rent right on time, but took time to enlighten your "management" with things like a plan for when plowing in the winter, so tenants will understand; how to avoid having your elderly tenants knocked over by a dog unleashed who shouldn't have been allowed. Inconsistent vendors, and cutting loose the ones who did a decent job. The list goes on, not that I expect you will lose any sleep over it.
s/o to oregon for banking hard on BRT, it ain't a train but it's close!

There is only one way to reach zero accidents and making people sad, angry, guilty, and hurt is a cruel attempt to a fake result. People have been tolerant of these extremely emotional ads so far but the needless infliction of verbal pain needs to stop. If you are serious about Vision Zero you'll stand behind the elevated, automated, guided, accident free MicroRail. Eliminate the human factors of driving. The human species is just plain fallible. Get used to it and support a system that cannot kill or maim. Go MicroRail.
Vision Zero has traditionally been supported by what has been called the 3E"s of Engineering, Education and Enforcement. The trend now is to move away from the Enforcement piece of this due to equity issues and really focus on engineering and education. A good many people lean first towards enforcement often because that has been the traditional method. Cars are speeding on a particular road, so the police set up some speed traps and issue some fines. The word will spread and speed will be reduced as drivers will be more careful not to speed on that road...for awhile, but it's not sustainable. If we focus on education and engineering instead we solve street safety issues for the long haul. Redesigning streets has a higher up front cost but in the long run it is more effective and has greater long term payback.

lobster lab media , branding and marketing on a budget
The people on the west end that wants to go to Hannafords can catch the #5 on Congress St because if you change the route they can go out to the Mall one where you drop off unless you’ve stopped going there ,, then you can change the 8 plus they on the west end gutta think there are disabled and low income housing on the hill where people have been walking to get a bus and they are crying in the west ,, like I said before,, if it’s groceries,, order online and pay $12 a month for free delivery all month
Elderly get a cart if you can’t hold your groceries
I think all the bus’s will run late
Elderly she order online for groceries to get free delivery and pay $12 at Walmart for service to help them instead of walking to a bus and grocery shop
So we’re losing the number 1
Since Bus Stops are away from disabled and elderly housing,, bus shelter should be placed and fix the transit for the bus so we don’t wait long in the cold
Put a bus shelter for 100 State St too down by Spring St if you change route ,,, hope it doesn’t rain for Metro
I think the 8 should go counter clockwise wise still
Why does the # 8 go clock wise ,,, it will make disabled people from Franklin Towers cross the Street and wait with no bus stop shelter ,,, doing this is going to cost more for bus shelter for disabled
Oh, hell, I thought this was Portland, Oregon. I shall take my like and go home.
I know someone who made that mistake
E muito bom vai ajudar muito , e para o south Portland
Oh, Maine. Thought it was Oregon.

Thanks for this. Please keep in mind that not every town has a library.
And this misguided mindset continues today as Portland's character is systematically replaced by condos and parking lots.
