3 Years ago I visited Busch Gardens all the way from the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado for the first time only to find a SBNO Iron Gwazi. Fast forward to 2024 and I finally got my chance! and it was EPIC! During this trip, I celebrated my 200th coaster credit! Growing up in Denver with the choice between this park and lakeside, Elitch’s always felt like the elite park. Now, having travelled the Midwest, Texas, central Florida, etc, it blows my mind how basic the ride selection actually is. I love that this park has lived so long in it’s downtown location (though it’s probably moving for a second time pretty soon). I would argue though that we have the best Hopkins Shoote the Chute that I know of in terms of splash size (Shipwreck Falls). I’m not sure what they did when they designed it, but the wave that ride dumps on spectators is bigger than any other flume-type ride I’m aware of. There’s and old vine or tiktok or maybe just older short RUclips video where the cameraman is filming the splash and utters a small “oh damn.” before the camera gets annihilated by the wall of water. If you are standing on the exit bridge when a boat comes down, you will be soaked as if you were under one of those bucket dump features in water playgrounds. I do also really love that they put some theming into Twister II(III?) Also, “Minderaser” is the most badass coaster name I’ve heard of, and I now know it’s a shame it was used on possibly the worst Vekoma a SLC ever made.
It's July and sidewinder is still SBNO. I went on July 6th and the train was removed from the track. Wouldn't be shocked if its closing for good. Sucks because I have all credits but sidewinder from elitch gardens.
I feel like Twister is just gonna be same lame as it was before.
Hello I’m excited to announce I’m going to water world in July 1 coming from Nebraska couple questions I have, one when I go in July 3rd is it gonna be hot or warm I want it to be hot as possible to enjoy, two Is it worth the price I checked the prices and there low key expensive
Haha as I can’t accurately predict the weather that far in advance (yes ima freelancing meteorologist as my other gig) I know the first week of July is typically hot but also stormy. Water World is a great value for its tickets. I personally don’t recommend going in the absolute hottest day, just cause the parks likely going to be packed. I think you’ll be just fine!

@@asassinyt3904 if you're coming with 2-4 people, purchasing the TubeValet is worth looking into. With TubeValet (skipping a lot of the lines and you don't have to carry tubes up a couple of the bigger tube rides) it is DEFINITELY doable in only one day. It costs $85 for the day, but can be used by up to 4 people as long as they ride together.

@@Papiringo505 if you have a big family and/or are interested in doing a lot of sitting not in a pool, they could be. In my personal experience you pay to be on the rides, or at least in lines, so the cabanas are a pretty expensive place to sit!
I cant believe how Cheap the owner of Elitches is man just paint and fix the rides what the Fuuudge!!! Making so much money and the rides look like Shit and mainly all rides usually closed this park is a hell of a disappointment now days!!!…
Yeah I can definitely agree with that. I just know the park won’t be around for much longer since they have plans to redevelop the site within then next couple of years. Hopefully they’ll rebuild a new park in a bigger location. That’s at least the plan for now. Maybe find a better operator? One can only hope 🫣
