Will this work for VR?
ahhh, cute doggieee
You absolute knob head pintagne!
Awesome dude!! You're a lucky guy to have used this. I hope I can get my hands on one some day.
Great video, thank you. I bought the R3 Ultra a short while ago, the base only, and use it with the TM Cougar grip. Would you recommend to replace it with the RS grip?
100% would recommend you move to the RS grip as soon as you can. The RS grip, unlike the WH grip, is designed from the ground up to withstand the forces associated with a base the has next to no travel. With time, particularly if you fly a lot of BFM, your WH grip will develop play. The RS grip will not develop this play due to the way it secures onto the base. Also, in my opinion, the rubberised RS viper grip is worth the extra outlay. Feels really nice to fly with. The OG grip isn't bad by any means, flew with it for a long time and loved it, but the rubber-coated grip is just so much nicer.
@@LowBlow In your video you mentioned that TM grip switches are of better quality. The Cougar grip I own has solid metal switches, they are great. How have the RS grip switches been holding up? Is this an issue at all?
@@michaelkphoto8344 It was more of an adjustment period rather than the RS switches being of worse quality. They are in fact excellent quality, just slightly sharper, which will be appreciated if you fly with gloves. They are still like new.
@@LowBlowGood, this is all I needed to know. Thank you! 🙏🏼
So this stick is doable with helos and warbirds? Just have to get used to it basically?
Exactly
I can't find the A10 c file in monitor setup
Hello is this available still and does it work on F 16?
How much was this for you at the time you had bought this?
He was helping Real Simulator in development for the product so he never bought it
Hornet is cheat
UPDATE: Due to increased production costs as a result of the Russo-Ukraine war and covid Real Simulator have indefinitely paused production of this unit and refunded all existing orders. When more favourable business conditions return we may see this product launch.
Sadly receive that information from RS. Maybe we need to wait a long time.
I need to find an installation guide for it. No idea what in doing with the clips
yeah ..good fight
Real simulators prices are robbery. Ordered my new winwing f16 throttle :) they're so busy they always out of stock. Real sim should learn something from others and stop raping the pockets of simmers Cheers
Buy once, cry once. But in the case of Real Sim products there is no crying because you get what you pay for. Their hardware is second to none, period. They aren't there to please the masses, they are there to please the enthusiast who wants to replicate the feel of real military hardware and they make no apology for this, nor should they. Your comment is the same as saying "Ferrari should stop charging so much". Just a ridiculous statement.
Winwing is not even in the same universe with RS, quality wise, of course.
@@LowBlow 100% correct. They make HIGH quality almost boutique products for home use and their main business is products for professional users I'd imagine. Not wanting to pay a lot is fine, but you get what you pay for.
In the Realsimulator website I saw that as measures it says 50 x 50 x 30cm but from the video they seem to me other measures, can you confirm me?
No as I no longer have the unit.
@@LowBlow ah pity, anyway thank you so much for the answer and for your video!
Hey, I see you have a very smooth mirror of your VR view with the Rift S. I also have this headset and would like to be able to record smoothly like this. How'd you accomplish it? Thanks.
Hey, I haven't had the rift S for a long time now since moving to the G2 so can't really give much advice as I've forgotten which settings I used with the Rift S. I wish you all the best though.
@@LowBlow all good man. have a nice day
@@LowBlow I use the g2 as well.. mind sharing how you did this for me then? :)
That was a good fight, the hornet pilot was really good and stayed offensive the entire time, until you shot him in the face lol.
Nice video😁😆🙏🙏😆😁👍👍👍
wow this is sensitive. so do you usually use this 'fingertip' grip with RealSimulator stick or is it just because of the refueling? Because, while looking amazing, this would be sub-optimal for using the hat switches (you need that thumb).
Well played by the hornet. He maintained a great rate through the whole fight, and that’s pretty hard to do.
44:49 hahah autsch
thanks for hosting this to all of you.
Good stuff man, really difficult to find information on these sticks so thanks for walking through this.
Thrilling. Absolutely thrilling. From the '1 v the world' to your two-ship, four ship then six? in the end. Then your 1v1 dogfighting buddy: was glued for it all. Thanks for the vid. Incidentally, under the urban dictionary for 'The muts nuts' this vid is the top entry. Love it ;) Cheers
thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it. Coincidentally I'm about to go live on my twitch and do it all again so if you want to come say hi head over to twitch.tv/lowblowttv.
Can I ask how you are streaming your G2 at 16:9 aspect ratio? I've been trying to do that with my G2, but everytime I try to fix in DCS settings it just stretches the image making it look terrible. Or is it just through a setting in OBS?
game capture your DCS window and you should be golden.
thank you dear friend, a cookie to the doggie
Dang I got mine in 1 month ago I really need to hook it all up. I’m sure it’s gonna be a big improvement I have the warthog Hotas. May get it going today.
you're in for a real treat if the viper is your jam
Thanks man! I have it on my list. Except for the profiles, how is the Warthog grip doing on it. Same? Also, if never tried FFB on Warbirds or Helis, you're missing out. Cheers! 😉
main benefit of the SGRH grip from RS is that it is engineered to function with the input forces and lack of movement. If you intend to use the WH grip then add a collar or piece of lego under the grip to stop it from wearing out and getting clunky. But in all honesty if you are spending that much on the base then get the grip for the full experience imo.
@@LowBlow Great! Thanks for the reply. I'm think I'm gonna try rel4y's mod first when it gets released. The RealSim thing sounds really nice, but the shipping cost is ridiculous, even here in Europe. Cheers!
Sweet bro ! 👍🏻
Hey Low Blow, how do you rate the Bunyap campaign out of 10 for immersion/ realism and attention to detail? I had a quick look through your twitch replay just there :)
Hey CT I'd give it a solid 8 overall based on voice scripting/acting (wish they would have used someone other than Wags though because we are so used to hearing his voice), mission flow and design. Attention to detail is pretty good in the briefings although they do leave out things like lase codes which can make you wonder what's going to happen when your 3 AI wingman drop GBU 12s on targets that are within 50 metres of one another. Im really enjoying it and I think its going to be even better once I fly this with fellow players instead of AI.
@@LowBlow Ah sweet. Thanks for the feedback. I've been waiting for a decent Red Flag campaign forever, I just don't have the Viper. Hoping someone makes an F-18 version of this. And yeah dealing with dumb AI is definitely a bit of an immersion breaker. If you get real humans for your flight that would be a million times more fun.
Hey Low Blow, this is tgun7 from twitch, so glad I found this video. You did an excellent job explaining force sensor from real simulator. liked, subscribed and will share. See you on your twitch channel. Cheers.
Damit can’t wait for mine 👍🏻
Great working with you on the collab video with the Reapers, I like your setup with the VR, subscribed!
Thanks PP! My YT is fairly dormant now and mainly serves as a place to preserve memorable vods from my Twitch. Feel free to head over to twitch.tv/lowblowttv to hang out with us during DCS streams. More than happy to answer any questions or help out with gear set ups.
@@LowBlow will do and thanks!
Hi @lowblow - subject to time zones and ping! can i join u on a sunday BFM Clinic to talk about your FSSB Viper base? im on Discord FatShadow #2513 (its now FatShadow Chocks - im approved to remove wheel chocks... :( )
Dude I'm damn happy II found this video.. I was hoping desperately that there was a realistic F-16-like force sensing mount out there and turns out... THERE IS! And this is the ONLY video I could find. Excellent!
cheers dude glad to help. This was originally streamed on my twitch at twitch.tv/lowblowttv so feel free to follow there too
@@LowBlow Rgr that.. However I don't really use twitch. Sorry! Since it's been a couple months, how've you been liking this setup? I'm close to buying one but there's so little information.
@@therocinante3443 worth the price of admission!
Iberia song <3
This work for F-18 or F-16 to? or just A10?
Does this works with the f 18 hornet
My dog does the same thing: doesn't like me talking to the computer. He's just concerned I'm going crazy talking to the screen.
cant drag it onto my second monitor
i can only drag it to the bottom but my 2nd monitor is on the left
Does this work with the hornet?
have not tried tbh, ever since moving to VR I've long-abandoned my cougar MFDs
i have an issue is not saving into my dcs config monitor setup. Every time i save settings and go to check, the a10c lua is not there. i have DCS in a SSD apart from my regular drive.
Same
Its still working. Thank you for saving me from wasting my time further. I almost spent my time all day long to find the right setting for my second LCD. The tool is awesome. Thanks alot. God bless.
I can't get it to work. The mfds show up on my main monitor.
how do you make the center mfd in the hornet display? argh!!!!
Did you figure it out?
@@devonvg18 yeah its all in the LUA
Cody I Would you be able to tell me the name of the export for the middle screen. I have left and right MFCD but middle mfcd or ampcd won’t work
Devon Higgs check the lua files for the hornet in the cockpit , it’s called MIDDLEMFCD or some such, sorry not by my rig atm.
Devon Higgs you’ll get it it’s in there middle mfd or something like that .
Do you have to buy dlc for this?
Just the combined arms DLC. I think it costs between 5 and 15 bucks depending on whether it is on sale.
@@LowBlow ok thanks
I could use your help. The program works on display and I have the save file going to right correct folder, but it's not displaying on the two Lilliputs I have once in game. Nor is the file appearing in the MonitorSetup folder. I'm trying to get it to work with the F-18 and I am running three projectors (properly warped/meshed as three displays) and two Lilliputs. If I could just get the Lilliputs to work in game I think I could figure out the rest. Please advise.
Figured it all out after MUCH tooling around.
@@parakletos9994 what did you do to get the middle MFD in the hornet to display?
Nice...Would this work, even if running vr?
If you are in VR you won't need to do this as you will just be using the MFDs that you can see in-game.
@@LowBlow I get that :-) But I still may want to do it - for looks and tactile feel... :-)
@@CarstenDittrich2014 haven't tried it as I have my exports disabled now that I fly in VR. But you can still have the Cougar MFDs plugged in and use them by feel of course without having the exports running. I have flown the harrier like that.
