Do you mean that you use other UniFi router as a client?

UniFi doesn’t support DHCP server without the actual LAN interface for the same Submet, which means even if the remote site gets the IP from local DHCP server, the local UniFi won’t be able to reach it via routing because the same LAN is directly connected to the local UniFi router.

@@ITSolutionsNetwork thanks for the reply. I've accomplished this in the past using VyOS's L2TPv3 tunnel between the two sites but am hoping one day soon Unifi will support something similar or VXLAN for L2 tunneling.

No, just copying the key fob won't trigger anything that could stop original key fob from working.

@@ITSolutionsNetwork I have a UCG MAX. In routing > policy based rules, you can select clients on the network or vlan to route their traffic through the VPN client tunnel. Unfortunately, I don't see any clients configured on the wireguard VPN server in the list. If there is another way to route internet traffic from a client connecting to the home network through the wireguard server to the VPN client, unfortunately I don't know of it.

@@alel1531 I'm a little confused as to what you try to achive. You have UCG-MAX and Connected VPN client. When you say forward internet traffic to the client, do you mean the client to be a "gateway" for the internet for the traffic that is originated from UCG-MAX?

@@ITSolutionsNetwork I have configured a wireguard vpn server on the UCG. I have configured a client (my smartphone) which regularly connects to the server. When it connects, I can connect to the services on the lan without problems. However, now the public IP that my smartphone shows is that of my ISP, so when I am connected to the VPN server, I browse the internet showing my public IP. Is there a way to route the smartphone's internet connection through the NordVPN client also configured on the UCG? Unifi says: To route traffic from devices on the VPN, you need to add a Traffic Route. Go to the Traffic Routes section in your UniFi Network application. Create a new route that directs traffic from the WireGuard VPN server to the NordVPN client. If I go on route, there is no possibility of doing what they say.

If it has a RJ45 console port, and you want to connect via console, then yes. Once you configure it, then you can use IP connecctivity to log in to it.

It sounds like a permission problem in your system. Try to install using admin account.

@@lucaabs1759 You can definitely use LAN OUT to filter internal traffic passing through the site-to-site VPN. To understand source and destination, imagine being a router. Traffic going through LAN OUT considers anything leaving you as the source for LAN OUT. For example, if there is site-to-site VPN traffic coming from your friend’s subnet (10.0.20.0/28), it will be treated as a source in your new LAN OUT subnet. This is because the IP source is determined as the traffic exits the router.

Flipper Zero can see if the signal is sent, you can enable monitoring/discovering mode and "hear" everything that is supported, that way you can tell if the key fob is actually sending anything. I never tried to work with TPMS. Can't tell anything about Yaris Key Fob.

Magic Packets don't go outside broadcast domain, hence they can't be delivered behind another router. You can try and install WOL packege on UniFi router and then run it via cli while logged in from Wireguard VPN, or, put some kind of host like Rasspberry Pi on the same subnet and run it from there.

Just to make sure I understand your question, you have two UniFi devices and want to use one to go through another for internet? You mentioned client on dream machine.

You can surf the internet through your UniFi router using WireGuard remote VPN user if that's what you are asking. You'll be visible as coming from your internal network to the outside networks, using your UniFi routers public IP.

@@ITSolutionsNetwork all I’ve tried is plugging in my info the exact same way you explained in the video and tried a test ping. But it won’t long across. I’ve double, tripled check my IPs but still no ping. 😢 what can I try except double checking my info.

@@mg3299 1. Did you allow Ping on your host? 2. Does VPN Status show "Up"? 3. Did you allow traffic on the router's Firewall?

Each computer has a firewall also. Try disabling each firewall on the computer TEMPORARILY, and try to ping again. Or try pinging something like a printer
