You can use lesser volume of your lungs most of the time, and, when feel air starvation, do breath in once deeply and release air quickly - you have about 1.5 -2 seconds before water "reacts" to your buoyancy change. That's how it works for me, for example

Though I agree, and ofc this is a opinion, things such as bp/w are better then a jacket, even with a more standard rec set you can have good trim and buoyancy, it all comes down to the diver in the end. No offense meant to you Divenownz (Regarding trim/buoyancy), I am no where near perfect either! Love the color of your equipment, btw ;)

But his trim is equally flawed. Squirell positive trim. Legs down. Not horizontal. Shit recreational gear. Steel backplate would be much better.

A 3kg steel back plate would have had me on the bottom of the pool as I have no weight in the bcd being worn in the video. So I would have had to fill my wing up and be less streamlined. But thanks for watching.

Try positively buoyant fins, experiment with weight placement such as placing it on tank or bcd.

Something you can try, after reducing all possible weight, and using wings, is using your arms as a counter weight, try moving your arms forward and bending your knees. this will take weight off your back and into the front. Let me know if it works
