The timber frame is up but will we get a roof on before the snow flies? We'll show the foundation, construction method, building framing we'll say 2x6 a lot, talk about screws some, and only ask you to subscribe once. @woodlandmills @tapcon8117 @grkfasteners @FastenMasterPro
I spent a summer selling campfire wood, here's what I learned

We set up a self-service roadside firewood stand. In this video we show how we source and process the wood, bundle it for sale, and tour the roadside wood wagon we use to offer it to passing customers.
The pallets look very useful and would cover a wide range of methods. In my location, freezing to the ground might be a problem.
Cool idea
Thanks!
Another environmentalist democrat Unsub from this channel He probably drives a Subaru like the rest of the dems
Just subscribed,enjoy watching
Thank you!
I think what you done great i need to build something like this for myself. THANK YOU!
Go for it!
As everybody knows a cord is 4x4x8.If you lay out on the ground 3 rows of 16 inch long pieces of wood and stack it 4 feet high and 8 feet long you have a full honest cord.Your wide racks don't look like they are 4 feet wide. How long are you pieces of fire wood? They look longer than 16 inches.
We cut our sticks at 16”-we built the pallets so they could be picked up by our tractor but you could change up the dimensions as needed. The pallets are 48x60 which works out to 1/5 cord ((4x5x1.3)x 5 = 130 cubic ft, so a little more than a cord really).
Fire wood math😂
I enjoy your videos...make More ! No big money for you BUT fun for us ! That saw house Looks Strong vend practical ....Everything is up to code ...Right !!!😊
Work smarter, not harder. Love it.
Just found you and subbed. Look forward to following along. Take care. Nebraska WoodSTR
Awesome! Thank you!
First thing I would do is get that splitter up about a foot. That thing is way to low. I have mine up on a 4x4 and 2x4 and it's still not high enough. I'm only 6ft tall. I have a bad back so any Bending over is not good.
Interesting-how do you move it around?
Thought exact same thing. Ouch.
Thanks for the video. For the smaller trees like that first one, a felling bar might have helped you out, before bothering with winching. It's easier with those to just keep rotating until they dislodge.
Yep those are really handy. Thanks for watching!
Weird percentage! Is there a metric equivalent you struggled to meet?
Is it weird? Also is there a metric equivalent of a cord? There must be. No-we just figured that building pallets to accommodate 26 cubic feet would work out the best for our needs If you had bigger equipment you might be able to increase to 1/4 cord.
I think farm craft does this also.
Smart folks ;)
I like the 1990's look and sound of this video, very nostalgic!
Do you have a trail camera setup to see how many people don't pay?
Great thing you're doing guys,it makes the circle of waste not, want not comp!ete. KEEP IT UP, YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING. From tg in the West Indies.
It is so good to see someone making bundles with twine. I havn't done bundles because I don't want to put anymore plastic in the environment
Did you sell a lot?
Nice
Looks great. But in my country people would just steal everything.
Your signage is absolutely epic. Great side hustle vid.
Thanks!
I'm curious how honest you've found the general public to be? How long have you been doing this?
Not sure how honest most people are, but most people who took from the stand left money. This was the first year we’d sold firewood.
I curious as to how many people honor the honor system? Since you said it's worth it I assume most people do the right thing and pay but there has to be some bad apples in the bunch
depends how close to the city you are, country people would rather die then get called or seen as a thief
I live in Illinois and that wood would be stolen in 5 minutes along with that wagon even though we live in the most freebie socialist state in the nation. Here in Illinois you get paid for not working leaving plenty of time for committing crime.
Can you post a video of how you made your own microphone out of wet wax paper :) thanks for the video
Nice video, but just for some perspective, your audio is pretty bad (I assume you are using the microphone built in to your camera). I only mention it because I see you have 400+ subscribers, and I assume you would prefer to have more (and this video got 300,000 views!)
Tidy
1) Your audio sounds like a camera flip phone from 2003, 2) Thinks he "came up with twine" 3) The wood wagon could be a stand not wasting a trailer. Use the trailer to fill the stand.... jfc. 4) Thinks red paint is apart of the "design" I bet when you paint things you think you fixed them up too.
i like your video too. 222 views. that's cute.
That's a good bundle for $8.00... I've paid that for half as many logs... thanks!
when my pops was alive we had roadside self serve like this. but after one season we stopped bc people kept leaving I.O.U's and we lost just under 6 cords in one night to a iou
Its stupid, what is someon will teak wood without paying or just teakes antire wood wagon ??? Ya'v got some security over there ?
overpriced this stuff grows on trees
After watching Im glad this was recommended to me.
Snakes, Birds, Mammals etc. get caught and killed in plastic weave often. Very Environmentally bad product. Don't know why state parks require it. Oxymoron.
Good business model. Its not like firewood grows on trees.
I thought this would be about how many was sold, how much money was made and if anyone stole.
Watching you on the hydraulic splitter brought back memories of working for a firewood business. Yes, there is a lot of work involved in this business. Good video 👍🔥🔥
1:35 my summer car ambience
I love the audio on this, feels like I'm watching educational films from 70s grade school.
Do you ever have a problem with people stealing the wood since payment is on the honor system?
Hey mate, great video and great setup you got there.
Love the tools! Thanks for the show. Seems well thought out. Welcome to youtube!
Been thinking how to monetize my State Park Adjacent property .... until I get the booze-friendly campsites up & running, this isn't a bad idea :)
Repost this as "HOW TO MAKE A RUclips HOW TO VIDEO"
No music. No BS. Fantastic. Keep them coming please.
Nice to see the honour system still in action in some remote pockets of the Western world.
You couldn’t do that where I live ( a) no one would pay (b) trailer would be stolen. They would take the milk out of your tea here.
boioioioing!
Sounds like a video of this is what we did, instead of this is what we learned. Good luck.
What are your earnings if you don't mind sharing. I did this for a few years and it didn't seem worth the effort.
