I believe it was Thursday's here in Ireland. I was only 12 or 13 but it was the only show on tv that required me to pay vigilant attention due to the language, and it simply couldn't be viewed passively. I'd never seen anything like it.

Con Stapleton started out as the card dealer who witnessed Wild Bill's murder. Then became a corrupt sheriff for little more than a day before Bullock took his badge. He then became Tolliver's henchman/part-time Chinese whore-marketeer. Finally in the movie he's now the town minister.
