It's interesting to see a perspective from an FTA! I really appreciate all the effort that the volunteers go through to make sure competition runs smoothly and fairly. This year felt like a very smooth operation, last year was fantastic as well but a number of small changes this year made such amazing impacts on how enjoyable the championship was. I'll definitely have to check out that match switcher app as I (a senior from the team) get started volunteering in my region next year, it seems really useful!! Just got recommended this -- this is really cool! I've had way too many unfortunate experiences where camera switching is janky, hopefully this is a great way of encouraging more professional/easy to setup livestreams

As an FTA here in Florida, I got a sneak peak on this advice before our meets and AJ had the chance to film this. This fix helped me with a few teams with intermittent power issues. Definitely solid advice that I would highly recommend.

I have an idea for you which I think will be good for the leagues who have to set up and break down fields multiple times. Store the pixels on the yellow poles from the trusses. Use one of the discs that goes under the tiles on the end that has the bolt and tighten it on there with one of the wingnuts. On the other end, I think a simple/cheap pipe clamp could be used to prevent the pixels from coming off. You could even add some small marks on the poles to count pixels. In my opinion, the Compass award is special since it means the team took the time to recognize an individual even though there is no direct judging or competitive advantage to doing it. There is often little recognition given to the amazing mentors and coaches in FTC, and this goes a long way to showcasing some of the outstanding work that is done to support teams. I would encourage more teams to apply for this award: even a simple video is enough! Many events will play all the submissions during breaks or something like that, so even if it doesn't win, it will be shown! Starting in Freight Frenzy, I made sure to spend time on a video submission for each of our competitions, from league championship to worlds, and it's always a ton of fun to put together.

Hello. I love the videos. I just checked our plugs. They are from 3 years ago but they only charge at 5v. I wonder if we should purchase others and at least bump up a little.

Loved getting jumpscared at Powerplay worlds with the competition fields being all shrunk and the practice fields being the old ones!
