I don't know if I overlooked it, but which rod are you going to pair it with? Great video.
@@elchacon6304 I've got 2 of them. 1. I have one a 7' 8-17 med heavy fast with 15lb braid ( bull bay rod ) 2. The other is 7'4 6-12 med fast with 8lb braid ( bull bay rod )
@@artificialslinger9730 Bull Bay, huh? I have the Bull Bay Tarpon (use it for Gar/Cats) rod paired with a 6500 Spinfisher VII Live Liner. You've really got me itching for a Medium to Light tackle combo; TwinPower FE with a Medium/Fast or under rod. Thank you.
@@elchacon6304 sweet. I use nothing but their rods. Was a big St Croix fans for years but their customer service killed it for me. I definitely recommend a 6-12 med fast. It's my favorite line class rod. Although been throwing my 8-17 more here lately being I got a kayak now it's been a fun rod especially around mangrove trees

How is the drag compared to the Stradic like the sound
@@frostizz2072 most Shimanos are about to the same sound in my experience.
Vanquish/TacX😅 The epitome of sensitive! Great combo.
Just want to say thank you man for making these videos! For people like me doing tons of research and on the fence of buying helps alot!! looking forward for more vids champ
@@TheGun311 absolutely. I appreciate it man. I actually started doing the videos because I got tired of the every video I found being filled with nothing but " specifications " and " science talk " vs just straight to the point and from an everyday anglers point of view. Definitely appreciate it and hopefully helps others in the future as well.
So what are your impressions now after hooking a few and where did you get it? I'm having trouble finding the 3,000 model I'm in Florida too
@@oldonions1 Absolutely Love it !!!! In fact I actually just bought a 3rd one for the collection. And I get them either from Japan or form my local shop.
I'm torn between that and the vanquish. In all day fishing situations making a million casts, which one would you rather have in your hand??. Is the weight difference and performance noticeable?
@@oldonions1 all day fishing with structure id definitely go Stella. All day fishing open water or lower tides away from structure vanquish. Comparing the 2 in 3000 size I believe the Stella is 7.6 or 7.8 and the vanquish is 6.5 or 6.7 Stella only about a oz and change heavier then the vanquish. Stella is a core solid reel vanquish is the ci4 reel
I'll out fish you with a $22 dollar Ugly Stick and 45 year old Zebco reel sucka!!!!! Just kidding, nice combo.

Does TP fe c3000xg can fit 2500/2500s separate spool?
It should. The 2500 and 3000 share same body size just one has a shallower spool ( 2500s )
Oh you didn't. I am wrestling with the idea to get one. I've got the TP 24 in 4000 and C3000 size. Ever since I bought them I was wondering if a reel can get any better than this. It will be interesting to see what you think once you fish with the Stella. Basically, is Stella a much better reel compared to the TP in order to justify splashing £600 on it.
Honestly like I stated in the video it's very hard to tell them apart. Blind folded I bet no one would be able to tell them apart. The one thing I do like on the Stella is the handle knob. Something about this knob just feels so right in the hand
@@artificialslinger9730 I was going to get the Stella in May but last moment I decided to get a new rod instead, the 22 Exsense Infinity 9ft 5-32g ml. I went fishing with it last week and it literally blew me away. So damn effortless to cast, super sensitive. I can't stop stroking it 🤣
@@Jack-tn8im yeah I got a Shimano casting rod can't remember the name of it and it impressed the crap out of me. I use it for my chatter bait rod
I have the same exact reel paired with a A 7ft Legend Inshore.. put 12lb p-line cx Preminum on it and I pulled in 10-12 pound striper over the weekend with it like a dream..
Is the C3000XG line capacity really PE 1.5 - 270m? Thats what it says on shimano’s website but that doesn’t seem right
Honestly Shimano spools are are the same meaning you can interchange any 3000 spool with a different model Shimano spool 3000. That being said Shimano list their 3000 spools as 6lb -230 yards 8lb -170 yards 10lb -140 yards But it definitely is off because 3000 spools I can get anywhere from 180 to 220 yards of 10lb Braid depending on how much I want. Not sure what that transfers into meters for you. I live in the states and we go based off footage / yards.
Can i put on this second 2500/2500s drum?
Do you mean can you use the 2500 size for drum ? If so yes as long as it's not a shallow spool. That being said the 2500 and c3000 are the same exact size the 3000 just has a deeper cut spool. Thus I would go with the c3000 for drum
@@artificialslinger9730 i bought c3000xg and i want a second drum but smaller, since the body is 2500 i need to know can i buy and put 2500 size drum on my reel, and maybe can you tell where can i buy it online and ship it to EU
@@artificialslinger9730 i bought c3000xg, i need second drum for this reel, quesrion is if 2500 size drum will fit on this reel
I've picked up the 2500 size Twin Power FE and done a review on it myself, they're a bloody good reel! However the FD models are currently on clearance and the prices they are going for are hard to pass up. I've got the Stella FK as well and the Stella and TP FE feel almost identical to each other which is not surprising considering how much tech they share. But one thing they both lack is the bullet-proof feeling of the TP FD.
Absolutely agree with everything but the twin FD. I actually find the Stella FK and Twin Power FE to fill more solid then the twin FD. Had 3 FDs they just didn't feel like the typical Shimano core solid reels. Maybe I got 3 " bad " ones but buying from 3 different locations Im assuming that's not the case. But the FD is definitely a solid reel. But they selling them at like the $300 to $350 mark. I personally rather spend the extra 100 to 150for the newest one. But that's me 😆 gotta have the newest models 💪🏽🔥 But one thing I will add is I honestly don't think I'm gonna buy another Stella again. The core solid twin powers as so close to the Stella I honestly don't find it worth the couple extra hundred price difference between the 2. I think I'm gonna stick with the twins for now on. But when the new Stella comes out that may change 😂
100% true. As a Daiwa guy rocking Cerate 24, Certate SW etc I bought a Twinpower FD for fun as an "Experiment". The Twinpower FD is now my go to lure reel. Its super light , super smooth and so strong when combating large fish. The drag gives the fisherman absolute confidence in landing any fish. What a reel by Shimano. Looking at getting a Smaller 2500 Twinpower FE 2024 now for smaller species. Don't get me wrong Certates 24 is awesome but there's some something really Special about this Twinpower......
I bought this exact model.. do you know how many yard of 10lb sufix 832 would fit on it? Thank you
Not sure. But I know with Cortland line 10lb I get roughly almost 200 yards. But I used a piece of tape vs using backing
Shimano number 1 world...👍👍👍👍👍👍
awsome fish wheir was this?
Tampa Bay
I may have missed it in the video but how do you find this compares to the 23 vanquish? Which do you think is the better reel?
Honestly I like them both about the same. The twin is a core solid reel and the vanquish is a ci4+ reel. I use the very differently for specific things. I like the vanquish for open water and finesse fishing and the twin I actually find to be a do all reel
😢I want to buy one. It's 3 months now. How is it so far?
Awesome so far.
How many yards of 10lb test mono would this model carry?
Typical Shimano 3000 spool about 200 to 220 yards depending if you use backing or how much backing you use.
Saw your post about this video on the Florida Peacock Bass FB group. This is an awesome video showing exactly how to fish to catch some nice Peas. My 13 year old son and I are coming down to fish for them later this year.
Have you owned the FD? If so would you say it’s better than a stradic? I’m looking for a new spinning reel. I ordered an FD, I’ve just looked at so many reviews lol. Also this version compared to FD obviously better right? If i end up liking the FD, I’ll probably buy this version as well.
Yeah the FD is a great reel. The twins are definitely better then the stradic by a mile. The 2 big differences between the twin FD and FE for me is the fin under the line roller and the slow oscillation. To me those are so worth the upgrade from the FD.
@@artificialslinger9730 Awesome, thank you for replying!
wow what time was this at
This was back at the end of January or February can't recall.
How does a Stradic fm compare to it?
The stradic FM is a beautiful reel on its own. But definitely in a lower league then the twin power. The stradic is like an Audi while the twin power is like a Porsche. Twin power has few more bells and whistles and better parts which makes it more durable and way better longevity. My favorite feature the twin power has over the stradic is the slow oscillation. This gives the twin a way better line lay for better casting , smoother casting and smoother drag runs with bigger fish.
Love this video it was super satisfying to see you catch some amazing fish. Keep up the good work. Edite ( this is the first video ive seen and im definitely subscribing)
This is the first video I've seen of yours and I'm definitely subscribing
Mich appreciated 😁👍🏽
I subscribed so fast bro. I catch the same fish as you do. How do you say this one holds up to the FD in terms of durability?
Honestly probably the same because they are both core solid reels. But theres a 2 things that added that I absolutely love that I didn't think I would. 1. The slow oscillation And 2. The line roller fin. The slow oscillation makes such a big improvement on how the line lays so darn perfect on the spool and makes casting so much more " easier ". I barely put any energy into my cast and can still get 30 yards with ease ( that's just a example of testing it out on my own ) And The fin under the line roller bearing / bail keeps the line from getting a limp so when you are in a hurry ( for example see Redfish or something ) you reel in super fast and cast back out or it's a windy day while feeling you don't have to worry about loose loops nearly as often as with a standard bail system. And with the two they both help cut down wind knots even more.
..I have stella fk..woww ...very smooth. powerful and super slow ociliating system👍👍👍👍
Yeaahhh...👍👍👍
That’s a lot of
Hi, after you already spent some time with the TP 24 how would you compare it to the TP XD in terms of sensitivity? The XD having a lighter I suppose it is transferring more feedback to your hand?
Honestly I still prefer this new twin fe over the xd. For me the xd is great but just dont have that solid feel to it. I'm hoping the next xd ( which should be next year I believe ) has more of a solid feel to it. I miss the stradic ci4+ so much. Those reels feel so much better then the Vanford and Xd imo. I also like that fe has the slow oscillation and the line roller fin.
@@artificialslinger9730I can't explain what it is but I lean towards the XD, however I wouldn't let go of my tp 24 either.
What pound line did you put on it?
10lb
Hey mate thats a school macke
I live in the United States. These are Spanish Mackerel here in the states.
I choose Shimano over Daiwa because their reels are super smooth, no wind knots. For me their spool technology made the choice easy. "Shimano ARC Spool is a patented spool design with an angled spool lip. This design enables the line to leave the spool with less friction and in smaller coils resulting in longer more accurate casts. ARC spools are proven to reduce backlash and wind knots when using braid." That's it, game over for the competition in my wallet.
Hi, mine just arrived today. Is your drag adjustment much harder to turn than lets say on the vanquish? I am curious because mine is quite hard in comparison to the vanquish. I would appreciate the info.
No it's about on par with all my other Shimanos . Check your drag cap and see if there's little bit of grease on the rubber piece. Also if you can I'd take the drag stack apart make sure there's no little spurs or anything that might make it feel like that as well
@@artificialslinger9730 There is a lot of grease actually on the drag cap (part number 145NP) but even when try to turn it in my hand out of the reel I have to put significantly more effort to turn it. It is just the cap, I can always buy the part once it will become available. Don't want to go back and forth with digitaka as I would have to probably pay the postage that is not cheap from the UK to Japan. Perhaps it is some sort of OCD on my part 😂 but it is harder to turn comparing to Vanquish, Vanford, Exsense and even the Untegra by far.
@@Jack-tn8im what size reel is it ? If you have another Shimano that's the same size try putting that cap on and see if it's better or the same. Could be just a slightly tighter feels. Have you spooled the reel up by any chance ?
@@artificialslinger9730 It's the c3000xg like yours. I just put it on the Vanford c3000hg, the same thing. It's the cap for sure. The drag itself is super smooth.
@@Jack-tn8im ok cool. Well you can always find a cap for cheap or contact digitaka and explain the issue. They may just say send the cap back and they send you a new one. But at least it's a easy fit
Which line do you use? Looks Great in white 👌🏻
I personally use MasterBraid from Cortlandline. And I agree definitely looks amazing with white 🔥🔥🔥
I think i need the same😅 Do you know the best place to order the reel in Japan ?
@@Baba_bln there's a bunch of Japan sites. I like Asian portal the best.
I Check it out. Thank you 👍🏻
Just ordered one after watching your vid. Thanks mate, best from the UK
That's awesome. Thank you for watching. You will enjoy the reel for sure.
Can I ask where you purchased it . I’m in the uk and want to buy a pair but no one has them in stock .
how well would it hold up in the salt? on the feature in japans shimano site it says its saltwater OK..but it has the same water resistance features as a stradic FL which isnt saltwater rated.
It will do just fine for saltwater. Honestly you can use freshwater reels in saltwater as well. Just have to rinse them off with freshwater well and maintenance them every so often. But the Stradic FL and the newest Stradic FM are saltwater approved as well. Even though shimano says " freshwater " the stradics are built with corrosion resistant parts. I've actually sunk my Stradic multiple times chasing snook under docks and its still smooth as butter Here's a clip of me with a Stradic FL ruclips.net/video/eY5W8GK3NJA/видео.htmlsi=O8qGPI_xZUKVDPuC
Shimano best....👍👍👍👍👍
The F models of the Stradic are definitely good for Saltwater! The ci4+ model seemed to struggle with corrosion and other issues but it's like anything with Saltwater, as long as you wash it down and take care of it then you shouldn't have too many problems.
Product rod?
I use nothing but bull bay rods. This one in the video is the 7'6 6-12 Med Fast Sniper rod
Nice video! I just got my Twin power C3000xg yesterday and cant wait to try it out! I usually fish with 2 setups, one with a paddletail and one with a topwater. On my secondary setup I have a Sustain Hg and I was thinking of upgrading that to either the Vanquish or just getting another Twinpower after feeling how smooth it is compared to the Sustain. I was wondering how the Vanquish compares?
Thanks I appreciate it. I normally run 3 set ups. Topwater , soft plastic and a suspending. But it's funny you mention all those reels. I'm actually selling my sustain for another twin power. But tonight I was actually messing with both the Twin Power and Vanquish for about 20 30 minutes getting ready for tomorrows trip. Both feel absolutely amazing honestly the only noticable difference I really can tell between the two is the vanquish is noticably lighter in weight. Open water im grabbing the vanquish Structure or a " due all " situations I'm grabbing the twin power all day. Both are definitely smoother then the sustain
@@artificialslinger9730 awesome, thanks for the feedback. I think I'll give the Vanquish a shot. Tight lines 😉 🤙🏼
@@KennyRiley anytime man. You'll definitely be pleased with both reels for sure. Good luck out there and tight lines 🤘🏽
no drag in the back ?
As for as Shimano reels in the states they only have one reel that I know with a drag in the back and that's the bait runner models. I believe Shimano does have other reels with rear drags but they are other county models. Which you can order online I do believe
Any difference between 2500 and 3000? Except line capacity like is the drag washer on both felt?
99% of the time Shimano size 500 to 2500 are felt and 3000 and up are carbonfiber. Im sure it's the same with this years twin power I will definitely check for you.
@@artificialslinger9730curious as well, I'm trying to decide
Thanks for this question, I'm really interested just need to decide which one to get for trout and bass... any suggestions? 2500SHG?
@@RF3seeker so the reels have the duracross drag. It's a cross between felt and carbonfiber. Smooth as felt , but strong as carbonfiber. For trout and bass I run a 2500. 8lb braid. So this way I can use it as a finesse style or standard artificial combo. I normally run 12 or 15lb fluorocarbon leader for bass And 15 to 20lb for trout.
@@RF3seeker sorry for late response as well. Work and family keeps me busy
I don’t know of any reel that will cast 200yards why does any bass angler need 200yards of line unless they like to waste line. And well I use cheap filler line just by a smaller reel that uses less line
The amount of line has nothing to do with casting It's rather or not the reel is under spooled , filled perfectly or over spooled. If underspooled casting distance will get cut alot If filled perfectly you will have great casts and performance If over spooled you'll get knots I agree bass anglers don't need 200 yards. But for inshore fishing for big redfish ,snook and smaller tarpon you definitely want that 200 yards. But for most inshore fishing only really need about 150 yards. What I normally do is use backing ( i.e. filler ) for about 50 yards and add that 150 yards of braid. But with any new reel I always top it off with as much as braid to see how much I can get on it comfortably without it getting knots and impeding the casting distance.
It’s an inshore fishing reel. Designed for hard fighters.
I fish near a dam for stripers and of course the fish is in the other side of the bank. I have to cast 175-180 yards to get there with a 2oz spoon. My 4000 Stradic is spooled with ~280 yards.
nice video ur like one of the first english speaking reviewer of this reel. Thanks
You're welcome. Definitely was trying to get a video out ASAP because everyone I could find wasn't English. So it was annoying me too 😂
With this reel and the certate on the daiwa side, I have a hard time justifying going for the stella or exist as both of these reels feel pretty much on the same level as their flagships. You can't go wrong with either imo, just based on personal preference.
I'm with you. I bought 2 Stella FJs when they came out because the Stella was a reel Ive always wanted since I was a kid. Now that I have them I honestly don't recommend buying them unless someone personally really wants to drop that much or is a dream reel like it was for me. I can't wait to see what the new Vanford will look like and bring to the table. Hopefully little stronger frame.
Hey so you had a FD right? How does it compare in terms of smoothness
Yes sir. They are both smooth as hell but I feel this one is a more refined. Im selling my twin FDs and sustains. I'm gonna get one more of the FEs. I think the new Vanford may also be announced before July's icast
@@artificialslinger9730 Interesting. I currently own a vanford 5000 and was considering a 5k FD, but when the new FE is only 60$ more I think I'll be waiting for that to release. Only the smaller ones are available i think

No , nothing like that. Unfortunately with anything that's manufactured some reels can get past the last inspection before shipment. My Stella FJs are solid as well. I'm gonna be doing a update video on this reel here shortly.
Could you hold the roto and wiggle the handle to show how much movement there is. I have 3 stella fks and they all have a slight movement but the vanquish is a bit more like twice as much. I assumed due to the lighter build
Also gears don't seem as smooth as the Stella's but could need some break in I suppose
@@bretlai8746 yeah Ill definitely do that on camera. Yeah most Shimanos need a breaking in period.
I hope you didn’t end up changing the drag washers. Felt washers are much better for light tackle applications.
I kept the felt until it went bad but now it's a carbonfiber. The trick for carbon is to add a little bit of " lighter weight" grease to them. Do that and they just as smooth as felt. Best part of carbon is they very rarely go bad.
Definitely not a stella but a good reel. I have both, but some how my go to reel always ends up being the stradic 2500 ci4. 😊 Maybe because it's paired up with an expride i dont know. I really do want to love the TP a little more but the stradic just will not let me. Help?
