Looking For Lizards in Arizona during Thanksgiving
Very Nice!
Great memories 😊!!!
Hollllllly crap man, congrats! That was a great looking AK. Was that a rattlesnake conservancy hat btw?
It was. I have several hats from them.
The one I was wearing was a Copperhead hat which I couldn't remember the company but I always wear my Copperhead hat.
LUCKY PROJECT SIMUS T -SHIRT 💪🏼
Always have to wear the lucky project simus shirt

INSANE! Yall found everything beside Bigfoot. This was one of the best herping videos I've seen in awhile. I appreciate yall putting in that grind to find all those beautiful animals. I hope to see another one soon. Catch you on the flip-side. Richard from Arkansas
Thank you so much!!! Look forward for more episodes to come.
Good work! Thanks for sharing!
nice the holy grail
😂
Yeah I know the trailer is cheesy
@@bdherpetologyproductions1084 now you did actually a pretty good job on it. I just think it’s kind of funny the way you ended it. I’m looking forward to seeing how you found the AK.
Looks pretty cool. 0:35 Did you actually get a copperhead eating on film?
We did
@@bdherpetologyproductions1084 Awesome!
Holy crap that intro music was ear-shattering, bro.
Thanks for your input. I’ll make sure to lower the volume on it for future projects
Cool salamanders
1st time viewer, B&D . . . very nice job! 🙂
I believe rat snakes have more vertebrae than most other snakes. That’s the kinking look you get.
Nice video man! Gotta love those Pigeon Mountain Sallies!! Been forever since I have seen one of them at that cave in Georgia. Nice finds on the other salamanders too!
That is such a weird behavior from the Yellow Rat near the end--I have never seen that before from the rats here in MO or elsewhere. Ever seen rats of different subspecies do that?
I enjoyed watching this video, mate! Great job!
I live in Ocala national Forest, and in one of the few people that fishing game allows me to hunt snakes in Ocala national Forest. Been collecting snakes for 65 years and breeding and everything love to go snake, hunting and hopping still not as fast as I used to be I’m 78 but I find some beautiful pine snakes, Indigo Eastern diamondback or the Cat to look at at don’t catch them anymore. I have about 10 snakes in my collection but that’s enough to take care of.
I'm fairly local, would love to go herping sometime. I love near the goethe forest on 337 and haven't had much luck lately
where do i find them
Thank you for posting! A few things: one, you probably already know, but your Southern Appalachian was definitely a Southern Appalachian and not a Slimy. Secondly, great job with the desmogs! Last, I just want to say that I like how you post footage of when you DON'T find stuff in addition to when you do. I tend to just post footage of when I find good stuff, like most herp channels do (too rare these days with work), and sometimes that makes you think everyone else is finding stuff effortlessly. You keep it real.
I appreciate the love.
Corn snake and American Alligator 2 of my favorite Reptiles
Brother! I like your hair style. Be careful with snake bro...
Nice job on the Plethodon shermani!
Beautiful snakes! You do a really great job, Daniel! Very knowledgeable. I enjoyed watching!
Thank you Jackie! New episode has been uploaded!
Nice stuff man! Coming to AZ myself in a few days to look for a lot of the same stuff. Nice Speck especially! I am going to lose my mind if I see a Ridge and a Rock the same way you did out there. Congrats again!
Hopefully you have a more fruitful trip. The rains didn’t reach up North yet only Tuscon and south. But even then it wasn’t enough to get snakes moving. We had to work really hard to get what we did. Luckily for me I was with people that have a lot of experience Herping in the state so it was like having tour guides. I didn’t have to do much of research so I was very privileged and fortunate.
@@bdherpetologyproductions1084 That is always a good thing to have people from the state with you. I think we will have that for part of it but not for other parts. I am hopeful that the rains that have happened the last two nights in the Tucson area (we'll be in Tucson/South almost exclusively except for some stuff way up on the Plateau for salamanders closer to Flagstaff) plus the projected ones tomorrow night are enough to get stuff moving. Arizona is always fun either way though--I am glad you at least got Ridge, Rock, and Speckled!! Those are very respectable snakes, two of which I haven't seen yet.
WOW, those first two salamanders you found were beautiful, especially that bright red one. I have never seen like that so thank you for sharing. You are very blessed to live where you live to find all these amazing salamanders. I only wish my son and I could find what you find. Love your video. 😊🇨🇦
I'm a new subscriber. I really enjoyed the video. Very nice milk and corn. Also, the salamanders were really nice. Plus, I'm a huge box turtle fan. I can't wait to see the next one. ✌ Richard from Arkansas
Nice vid 🎉
good stuff Bailey. How would you describe herping there compared to Florida?
It’s different. Finding snakes at least with the road cruising method is a lot harder
@@bdherpetologyproductions1084 really?
Yeah my friend says it’s one of the hardest places to road cruise especially at night
@@bdherpetologyproductions1084 so you would say its easier in Florida to find snakes?
@@ProjectSimusFlorida oh most definitely easier when it comes to road cruising. But flipping for snakes seems to be easier mainly because there is more natural rock
Good stuff !
Nice stuff man! Just saw some of those species myself for the first time in several years and am getting together the footage now. Red-cheeks are the best even though they're so common.
Awesome stuff man! Just spent a few days in Florida myself as a transition between some Texas herping and Appalachia, but the video is going to take forever to edit. Love the cotton, the pretty pigmy, and the box turtles especially--keep it up!!
Nice
Nice guys👍
Awesome video!!
Thank you. I wasn’t sure how it was going to go because it was pretty slow most of the time.
Nice finds👍
Great kick off for spring, except it's really dry and slow for activity on some days.
@@danieldurden2956 I’m posting 3 live Simus find’s video tomorrow
@@ProjectSimusFlorida Whoa 3???? I'm definitely checking it out
Slow here too
That’s no good since I’ll be in Florida tomorrow
@@bdherpetologyproductions1084 picking up we got rain.
Nice job on those manders! Hunting chamerlaini and mud salamanders is a ton of fun--next time you're in Eastern/Central NC going from TN, you should try for Sandhills Eurycea--those are a really fun one to photograph.
I did. Near the end of video I found a Sandhills Salamander
@@bdherpetologyproductions1084 It pays to watch the last 3 minutes of the video, doesn't it? Congrats man!
@@elderherper-statesman4733 thanks I appreciate it. Yeah I had stop by the Sandhills on my way home. I miss that habitat especially living in FL for so many years.
@@bdherpetologyproductions1084 Keep posting man! I don't watch every one of your videos (probably half), but every one of those I do makes me miss herping east of the Mississippi (living in Missouri and doing some cool Ozark stuff out here, but I'll be in Appalachia for a short while in May and can't wait).
That's a nice Grey phase Storeria. My last 2 red bellies were the rusties.
Is their a certain time of morning you go and find stuff I can’t seem to find the sweet spot lol
Really depends on the time of year and the species you are looking for.
@@bdherpetologyproductions1084 I try to get out there by 7 in the morning how early you go out ? I have luck around 7
7am is good, but depending on temperatures, the weather is either your friend or not. Alot of times is...right place at the right time.
That was awesome! One thing, in the future could you leave the names up longer?
Yeah I can definitely do that. Thanks for your input.
Very good video!
the coral snake was really cool
wow, nice finds
Very very cool critters!
That’s awesome! What a privilege to see a glass frog in its natural habitat. They are too darn cute
Awesome glad that you got to experience Pura Vida herping! Love finding the Velvet Worms!
Yeah it was a great experience. I have been to Costa Rica back in the early 2000’s before I got into the hobby. So going back to do my hobby was whole different experience. I didn’t even recognize La Fortuna and Monteverde definitely the most developed since I was there last.
Ggf
Looking forward to the next video! I'll be herping on Costa Rica for three weeks in February. When's the next video gonna post?
Probably in two weeks still working out editing
I wish I can travel to Costa Rica one day. What was the location of this place? Nice video bro!
The first location was in Yatama
Congrats on the Northern Spring! When I went to college in Virginia, warm rains in March/April and again in October were a surefire way to find gyros and Red Salamander adults if you cruised long enough along a road with lots of streams/springs along it. Keep up the good work man!
I found this Spring in Virginia on the border that was a residential area that the road ran along a small stream.
