    This guy sounds like a very narrow minded person who is all to willing to change actual figures to suit fighting for an excuse for governments to steal more taxes to fight 'climate change' and all the while knowing that climate works in a cycle. When the earth starts cooling these cultist climate change people will say see what we did has changed the climate. The rest of us will be saying nature has taken its course and is in its cooling cycle.

    09:18. Using the Pinocchio story to warn children against lying doesn't make the STORY true, even if it WOULD 'scare' children away from lying. It's better to appeal to their conscience, and teach them a sense of 'foresight'. You'll keep your own credibility, they will trust you more, because you just told them the truth.

    Why, whenever we watch something on RUclips, does that lie appear as the UN definition of climate change? The second sentence is unproven. It is not known, whether or if so to what extent, anthropogenic influence contributed. Michael Mann's "hockey stick" graph adopted by IPCC has been manipulated by omitting data past 1960, which if included provides a different graph which leads to very different conclusions. The UN use IPCC reports, and this graph specifically, to push its alarmism even though they know the graph has been manipulated to provide the answer they want and the IPCC reports claim there is no evidence of an imminent crisis.

    I love how he describes the climate gate emails as having been “stolen“. Those emails showed actual manipulation of climate data to support the alarmist sky is falling case. That is science fraud. And he’s doing the “chaff and redirect“ technique of describing them as “stolen“ And then the fact that he tries to make some comparison to Hillary‘s hacked emails in Russia gate, which also laid bare horrifying corruption between the Democrats and the USDOJ and FBI. That was not Republicans who “hacked Hillary’s emails”. It was Iran, China, and possibly Russia, although that is not certain. And Julian Massage of wiki Leaks. Julian Assange was a far left guy. He was not trying to help Republicans, he just couldn’t stomach, the corruption on the left anymore. So Michael man doesn’t even realize the irony of his comparison. He’s comparing climate alarmist corruption to democrat corruption and hijacking the criminal justice system to weapon against their political opponents. It’s actually a good comparison, but not for the reason he thinks.

  • @RockHudrock

    The irony knows no bounds - Michael Mann describes the “weaponization” of “global warming”. He is the weaponizer. A forced consensus isn’t science. Well-respected dissenters were cancelled and falsely labeled as “discredited”. Michael man should listen to his own stupid argument. He says both sides agreed on a lot of environmental issues. Which is absolutely true. They agreed to limit CFC‘s to address the ozone hole. Agreed on many toxic chemicals and super fun sites. The fact that Richard Nixon (a Republican) created the EPA. Both sides agreed on the need for scrubbers on coal powered plants to prevent acid rain from causing deforestation. But the one area where there’s this false forced consensus is climate change, and what to do about it. There are many people of good faith who don’t think it’s right to turn our economy upside down to shave 2/10 of 1° a century from now. It’s technological innovation that will get us out of this not fascism “climate scientist“ who are skeptical or descent from the carbon, forcing model couldn’t get the research funded anymore. The only research that we get funded is the research that blamed and overhyped the role of carbon dioxide. Just like most people were OK with vaccines until we smelled a rat with the mRNA Covid vax. Anyone with a brain - anyone who isn’t brainwashed - can see the same corruption in “climate science”.

    Al Gore's (US vise president 1992-20) successful war on science and scientists maybe coming to an end. This video has the United Nation’s Climate Change disclaimer. Global warming was officially reported at 1.1°C in 1991 and 1.06°C in 2022. There has been no climate change due to global warming. Global warming at 1.5°C was predicted to begin climate change with stronger observable hurricanes in the Gulf-of-Mexico. The cause of global warming is not know in 2024. It is scientifically impossible for greenhouse gas behavior to cause global warming. Before Al Gore became US vise president in 1992 earth's water vapor saturated greenhouse effect was taught in US public education. All the greenhouse radiant energy from the earth is completely absorbed in earth's water vapor saturated greenhouse effect by greenhouse gases within 20 meters of the radiating surface adding 5.55°C (10°F) to earth’s average temperature. Its further heat transfer is by convection i.e. gas molecules bumping into to each other. At 1% average tropospheric water vapor over a 99% share of earth's water vapor saturated greenhouse effect is from water vapor. The back of the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) science report states it took its greenhouse gas samples at 20,000 meters altitude where it is common high school level knowledge there is no greenhouse radiant energy. This is typical practice for deceptive marketing to state legal data transparency protecting the perpetrators from fraud prosecution. The IPCC has been transparent with its data acknowledging it is not dealing with active greenhouse gases. Earth's greenhouse effect is frequently used as a primary example to high school students of a system always in saturation from the strong greenhouse gas water vapor absorbing all the greenhouse radiant energy from the earth with greenhouse gases within 20 meters of the radiating surface that is all around us everyday and can't have its overall effect changed. There is no further greenhouse radiant energy to interact with greenhouse gases. 0.4% of the atmosphere is CO2 and on average 1% is H20 water vapor. (1% H20)/(0.4% CO2) = 25. Water vapor is 25 times more present in the atmosphere on average than CO2. Water vapor has an CO2e of 18, 18 X 25 = 450 CO2e total for water vapor to 1 CO2e for CO2. Arctic warming is taking place with the proving mechanism being warm Atlantic Ocean waters migrating deeper and more frequently into the Arctic Ocean warming it and the region. The warmer Arctic Ocean water is causing a few weeks less of reflective snow and ice surface cover resulting in more solar heat gain to the Arctic region surface. Atmospheric CO2 levels of 1200 ppm about three times what they are today would greatly invigorate C3 plants the majority of plant life on earth greatly greening the planet. C3 plants evolved over 100 million years ago when atmospheric CO2 levels were ten times those of today determined by plant fossils. The Earth’s oceans have 3-1/2 million sea floor volcanic vents warming the water and changing it’s chemistry that have not been systematically accounted for. There has been no credible Climate Change due to global warming as of 2024. Climate Change was expected to start to take place when global warming reached 1.5°C causing observable stronger hurricanes in the Gulf-of-Mexico. The term Climate Change started being used at the beginning of the 1980s to cause alert to a broad audience of the long term effects of increasing average global temperatures. The promotional term Climate Change in the early 1980s was grounded on actions already taken by Gulf-of-Mexico offshore crude oil drilling companies in the 1970s to build for stronger hurricanes due to warmer Gulf waters predicted to start when average global temperatures increased 1.5°C on track for 2010. That action was taken for a predicted long term change in weather patterns or climate that backed up the use of the term Climate Change.

    Remember we're in an Ice Epoch, and probably recovering from the Little Ice Age. Man-made warming is, as someone famously said, a fart in the wind. When I was at school, global cooling was all the rage. It's all about control politics, not about the Earth.

    It seems a bit weird to say that 1.5 degrees is a "gradual" rise in one century. In the last few years it has also speeded up. Historically, this is a rapid rise, according to those who study theses things, and if it gets to 2-3 degrees - as seems very likely - it WILL be dire, like the predictions.

      Hello. Thank you so much for your comments. This specific video is for fraternities. We do have a separate short for sororities. Delta Sigma Theta and Zeta Phi Beta are both sororities, not fraternities. Also, Sigma Pi Phi is not necessarily a Black college fraternity, but rather a professional fraternity. Our video isn't necessarily limited to college fraternities, so we think Sigma Pi Phi is still relevant for this ranking. You are correct about Alpha Kappa Psi. It seems that they're a large fraternity, but not really a traditionally Black fraternity. That is our mistake. We do stand by referring to the groups as "Black fraternities" rather than "African-American fraternities." Here's an explanation from ChatGPT: Both "Black fraternity" and "African-American fraternity" are used to describe historically Black Greek-letter organizations, but each term carries slightly different connotations depending on context. Black fraternity is often considered more inclusive because it encompasses individuals of African descent worldwide, not just those from the United States. Historically Black fraternities and sororities (such as the Divine Nine) have members of various nationalities, so "Black fraternity" is a broader term. African-American fraternity is specific to Black fraternities founded in the United States and is sometimes used to emphasize the origins of these organizations in African-American history and culture, particularly during times of segregation and discrimination in U.S. society. In general, "Black fraternity" is the more commonly used term, as it better represents the global and inclusive nature of these organizations today.

    MMT is the system we have and fiat systems have been around for thousands of years. So it shouldn't be called Modern --- it isn't a theory either it a type of monetary system. The real dirty secret is 85% of fiat money created is made by commercial banks when they create a private loan. So, banks create US Dollars that they don't have and they charge the private sector interest. It is disgusting and this is why we get asset inflation.

      @Rob-fx2dw Месяц назад

      Yes. But there are so many financially ignorant people who because of the lack of learning and lack of teaching they fall for leftist economics which doesn't stand the test of historic reality. It is double speak that also fails the test of mathematics. Just look at Keen who pushes his Minski software . He often puts forward the sectoral balance diagram showing government spending being the private sector surplus. I pointed out that his diagram omits the debt that is caused by this government borrowing part that should be in the diagram because it is a debt liability for the public (private sector) to pay in the future. His response was the diagram was right because his Minski software showed he was correct. He effectively used his own misinformation to justify his theory. What laugh ! That is his thinking or lack of it. - like standing in a bucket trying to pull himself up by the handle and believing it will work when it doesn't because he is holding the handle and thought it all through by himself.

    Keen doesn't know he facts about the deficits of WW2. There was no boomed economy in WW2 in the U.S.A. because the production was increased produce war materials instead of domestic goods and services despite the fact that there was big increase in the workforce with a larger percentage than ever before of women entering the workforce. Despite this there were shortages of all sots of goods and services. The traditional measurements of inflation were masked by price controls on consumer goods and others. That war production was priced in dollars that had been depreciated in purchasing power through increased federal government deficit spending and borrowing for the war. There were price controls known widely as "General Max' imposed during WW2 and the removal of them after WW2 allowed prices to rise by over18% due to pent up demand and a return to normality where companies could switch back to producing much needed homes, motor vehicles, refrigerators and household goods. During WW2 the population had seen lowered wealth due to still paying higher taxes but experiencing lower levels of government services because of the diversion of a large percentage of the government spending into producing goods for the armed services.

    What about the manipulaion of the tax code that has permitted vast cumlation of wealth while paying very low tax rates. This coupled with the manipulation of stock prices to again benefit stock holders rather than attending to the technical needs. (Boeing might be an example) This is a death sentence for a company but, given time, the same could be said for a nation. One other feature that bothers me is the inclusion of government spending in GDP numbers. Government pending like the stock market does not reflect the real economy. Ultimately, the growth in money supply should not exceed the growth in the real economy. Excess capital supply too often gets fritered away on none prductive projects and staffing. Example Trudau's increasimg federal employee counts by 50%. THis increases GDP but is paid for by increased taxe or debt. Regards

    There is an element to bank lending activity not mentioned in this interview by Steve Keen. This is the role of collateral and the pricing for risk based on the likely value of the collateral in the event of borrower default and foreclosure. Where real estate is provided as collateral, much depends on when during the property market cycle the loan is extended. During the first upward years of the cycle, land values (which are credit-fueled and speculation driven) climb at a rate exceeding the general rate of inflation. In consequence, when the end of the property market cycle nears there is a huge portion of land value that will quickly disappear as demand for property collapses. The portion most vulnerable is newly-constructed properties purchased when land prices were at their peak and the loan-to-value ratios of mortgage financing highest. As the crash of the property markets makes its way through the economy causing rising unemployment, delinquencies on all forms of consumer and business debt escalates.

    • @ThomasVWorm
      @ThomasVWorm 4 месяца назад

      @@nthperson collateral is overrated. The interesting part of the financial crisis was, that those, who demand those collateral, went bust, which made them almost impossible to sell. The job of the debtors is to create a sufficient supply which is demanded by those who were paid with the money. The collateral was bought from them - they don't want to have it back. The banks went bust because they did not only gave a damn whether the debtors were able to create a supply the banks knew, that they were not able. The drop of the property prices was not a problem, since as long as you can afford buying overpriced stuff, you won't get bust because of it.

    • @nthperson
      @nthperson 4 месяца назад

      @@ThomasVWorm When property prices crash there is sure to be rising unemployment at the same time. And, unemployed people stop paying their bills. Understanding this risk, most commercial and savings banks pooled the loans they originated into mortgage-backed securities, which are then sold to investors. So, the lenders pass on the default risk to insurance companies, pension funds and other investors.
