Glitch Guitar Pedals: Using the Boss DD-6 and Behringer DD400 to Stutter
Просмотров 667Год назад
Last year, at least friends asked me how I do 'that glitch guitar sound' - which is one of my favourite (and overused) methods. So, here's my complete guide to channeling your inner Nick Reinhart and Ichirou Agata. Sure, there are fancy glitch pedals now with complex rhythms and granular doohickeys, but tap dancing with the DD-6 and DD400 has always been my favourite method, for the real-time c...
Song Of Storms from Ocarina Of Time (Electric Guitar Solo Arrangement)
Просмотров 7693 года назад
Had this tune in my head the whole day at work on Friday and decided to see what I could do with it. For non-gamers, this is from The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, which is full of amazing music. Also a small note: Thanks everybody who subscribed to my channel! As I mentioned in previous videos, I sadly don't have enough time to play guitar as I'd like these days. But once in a blue moon, I...

Practice: Midnight Rendezvous (solo) by Casiopea

That arpeggio bit (1:22) Practice track (1:51) Follow up video to my cover of this song, with the solo section slowed down so you can catch the notes. Also, the arpeggio slowed down even more, and a practice track with geese.

There's a slowed-down solo before the end of the video (4:11). Been spending some time at my parents' house. I also recently bought this mustang and sanded the neck, I like it a lot so far! I'm sprucing up my videos with more formatting, hence the new title card at the beginning. Also, I don't own any rights to this song, and don't profit from it.
[Sound Design/Composition] Cowboy Bebop - Amazon Trailer (Reimagined Audio)

Started with a video track without sound. Except for dialogue and VO (which was extracted from various episodes and placed), every sound element including music, foley, and fx was designed/placed. The song was written to emulate Kanno Yoko's original OST.

Follow up video on the solo section : ruclips.net/video/2Cu94awXAz0/видео.html Just got a new practice amp after months of practicing with a bass amp. I tried covering this song with my jazzmaster, but I couldn't get the sustain for the tapped notes. In the end I gave up and switched to a tele. I also tuned slightly up, following the recording. Anyway, I'm pretty happy I could finally pretty mu...
[shittyjazz:cover] Chet Baker - But Not For Me (Solo Section on Guitar)

Probably around 2014 when I first started liking jazz. Also before I discovered the spicy chicken sandwich w/ chick-fil-a sauce.
Do you have the tabs for this by chance? I can’t find the studio version anywhere and i’m god awful at transcribing
Absolutely based Tele practitioner. Instant sub.
So funkily enough when I was debating getting a telecaster three weeks ago I saw this video and was set on it. You’re now my goal
Mate... Get a Tele. Don't listen to anything anyone says about limitations regarding thickness of sound or whatever (a bit of compression fixes that immediately). There is no tone like a Telecaster's neck pickup. Also (and anecdotal, like, so grain of salt and all that) I've owned a LOT of guitars. Nothing has ever played as fluidly as the Tele I bought way the fuck back in 2004(ish). Was my third electric after an Aria Strat copy and some nameless thing that looked like a lightning bolt (my first, when I was 12). I've owned probably twenty electrics since then and the Tele is the only one I WILL NEVER SELL. Choose the right amp, but be a Tele man. You won't regret it.
^I'll add to this: don't get a Squier or a Mexican Fender. Wait and save and get an American Standard Tele, preferably from either the mid-90s or before. I'm serious, you'll never spend better money in your life.
thats me right there guys
so cool
gonna use it for my practice too

Just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who's followed me these past years - I'm out of a job right now and am hoping to produce more videos during this time. I know this isn't my 'usual' content, but you know how it is, we all grow as musicians and I've truly always loved noisy-alt-rock as much as I love jazz. If you've learned something useful, please share your music in the comments, I promise I'll listen to it. And if you care to throw a cheeseburger my way, my donation link is here: ganknow.com/shittyjazz Happy guitarin' everyone! See you again soon!
Wow, thanks for providing that killer solo part at the end!

just discovered you through your casiopea vid! you are so talented and i love what u do :)
dude. i absolutely enjoy everything you do. where are you at? its been more than a year
found myself doing the "not bad" face after the solo. I'm kinda obsessed with this song, and your rendition is simply outstanding. i will eventually record myself playing it someday. thank you!
I call it stank face when the playing stanks
1:39
I usually never post a comment on yt but amazing cover, congrats Loved the sweeping sections of the solo but they look so damn hard lol, might try to play it but will never master it as you do!
Thank you! It's cliche, but any difficult section is really playable if you just learn it slow and incrementally speed it up; that's how I nailed this section!
Amazing! This is a long shot but have you transcribed and kept the notation for the solo by any chance I'm finding it a big challenge by ear for me
Hey friend, I have not transcribed this, but I have a little guide on the solo in my videos, there I slow things down!
