Ida Clare on The Belle of Louisville
An evening cruise on the Belle of Louisville an authentic steam driven paddle wheeler. A break in a week long heat wave brought out a large crowd. A great evening.

My friend has a beautiful flower filled backyard and is an avid birdwatcher. One of her passions is attracting Hummingbirds. Watch and see how many you can count!
Mike Cleveland plays Uncle Pen's Fiddle.mp4

We played at the dedication of Uncle Pen's cabin in Rosine, KY. Gabby Grey asked Michael to play a tune on Uncle Pen's fiddle she brought up from the Int'l Bluegrass Museum in Owensboro, KY. Was a pretty incredible thing. I wondered if the old trees on that ridge maybe remembered the sound of that ole instrument.

I miss ole Eddie Wells. It's nice to watch him on video. Great memories.
Shut up when the man is playing damn Ignorent fool .
Michael can play much better than that believe me.
I was there that day. The winds registered at 85 mph.
Yeehaw! Mighty fine!!
Michael is a one of a kind and the best.
It is so deeply funny to me the woman is struggling with the tuning then realized "oh hey Michael Cleveland is right there" hahhah its like you are practicing a shot in basketball and after a while figure you might as well ask LeBron James, who has been standing next to you the whole time, if he has any ideas.
Some people in that crowd are very disrespectful ! Great job playing that fiddle young man . I’m sure Bill is grinning !(absolutely did that song justice )
Simple song loaded with an abundance of soul by Michael!
Wow! That looked like a great time!
Uh…just because you know the words/chords to a tune DONT make you a Singer/Musician
If I were a cop, I would have written a ticket for everyone who was talking while Michael Cleveland played a country blues version of Amazing Grace on Uncle Pen's fiddle. Holy cow. He should have charged them before he played it so they'd shut up and listen to a living legend honor a passed legend.
A great interpretation of this, one of my favorite JP songs, Thank you.
Where have you been all my life. WOW.
What a great version of this song, we lost a national treasure when John Prine passed away. Thanks for posting this.
Great rendition . !!
Mostly talking it to death and very little fiddle playing.
Great band, and what a Banjoist!
I think Dougie MacLean would appreciate this blue grass spin on his folk song.
This is a truly amazing cover of this song.
Nice cover 🙂
R.I.P Uncle Bill :(
To all the folks commenting. This was completely unexpected, I was there with Mike for a gig and I just pulled out my phone and captured. Sorry for the shaky video but I was in a crowd of people and that's why you are hearing all the talking. Many there had no idea what they witnessing. I am just glad I had a chance to capture the moment.
Looks like the camera operator had a little of uncle pens moonshine
outstanding! Wonderful version of this timeless classic
Some mighty fine likker. Dats what I'm talkin' bout.
Beads a holdin'...and that's some mighty fine likker.
Absolutely beautiful, love it ,better than Nanci Griffith 🥰
Why is it that some people have to talk over everybody and every thing! They just can't shut up. Sooo annoying! Could hardly hear that beautiful fiddle.
Very nice. Thank you.
The way they are dressed makes it appear that the temperature is cold, but there sure is a lot of hot air being passed among them!
Best version of this song other than John Prine. Excellent with the different instruments. Excellent. Keeep making videos.
Kim Carnes!
Love this song.Heard so many versions starting with John Prine think he wrote it.Really liked your recording excellent.
No one cares to hear these guys blow hot air! Shut up and listen to Mike play!
"I cant tune it to standardxor the strings will break" Michael - tunes fiddle. Love watching this guy
