I love this song.It was from the Vinyl album Haka Moko which my mum owned. It stuck in my mind and i have sung it at Whanau gatherings. You fullas rock.
aww thank you for that Harry. we really appreciate your lovely feedback. ngā mihi
And also which song were you referring to specifically as we medleyed a number of songs, Harry?
@@Polysoundvibezstringband Puhipuhi te avaava. I have sung it about 3 times after a mihi at any Whanau gathering that concerns our Cook Island/Niuean whakapapa. I have never been able to find that Album Haka Moko. I did find and buy Pepe and the Rarotongans Album and put it on my Spotify list.
@@harrycullen1643 wow That’s cool. I only came into that song about 17 years ago when we used to do gigs on a regular basis. One of the boys had the job of leading it. We no longer gig but often get together to jam instead. Actually, we did a wedding a couple of weeks ago only cos one of the boys was a close relative. But that was our first in a very long time. No active promotion. We’re kind of over it. Keep enjoying the sounds then!
Make us some more vids whanau... bloody AWESOME!!!! :-)
too much your comment brother! keeps us buzzing for more too. we have quite a few that we have lined up but you know this Covid business is not playing ball lol. take is easy. ngā mihi🤙
Love the ukelele, that strumming rythym .Island version stacks up choice . Keeping this in my library.
Awww thanks Harry We are an island band first but love our Polynesian music and acknowledge our tangata whenua. Both waiata are personal favourites. Appreciate the kind words 🧡
