Priscilla, thank you for sharing your philosophical inquiry about meaningful interactions! I do wonder what you think about the meaning of a lie and its function. Because a lie is not aligned with the three spheres you mention (language, acting and being) but the analysis of such a misalignment itself also generates new meaning when we reflect about it. For instance, your example about green deserts is meaningful because it exposes an illusion (a kind of lie) about the equality of green landscapes and brings the real essence of a true forest into the open. So there seems to be an important kind of interaction possible between meaninglessness and meaningfulness.
Dear Bruce, thank you for sharing your insightful take on the notion of 'meaningful'. I agree that the interaction between meaningful and meaningless is important and enables us to think about 'meaning'. I have based this duality approach on yin yang philosophy where both poles need one another to exist. In a sense, it is an analytical method to make something invisible visible. Uncovering the misalignment reveals what we cannot see and consider to be evident: an alignment between words - thinking - acting.
