If you gut a cat that's illegal....lol....And if you want your downstream sensors to send the correct data I would tell your tuner you've done a cat delete and have it tuned for that....Everyone thinks spacers are the way...Even if they get that CEL off they are sending the wrong data to be stored and then eventually it will throw a lean code...especially with an aftermarket tune....

So that would have been the case as far as imrc lockouts if I wasn’t stock. This car is stock, no need for lockouts. So my issue with the idle was the vvt

Your set maybe but I proved mine wasn’t and it indeed have a leak.

It was pretty bad. At first only on hard throttle. Then it just happened when ever you pressed the gas. It will mess up the motor the more you drive it like that. Mine didn’t show a light for a few days but still had the issue.

Here's some advice if you haven't figured out the problem......If your engine is naturally aspirated the IMRCs which are little flaps built in the manifold will start to stick and maybe even break. This is one of the hardest things to diagnose on coyote engines....Even the dealer has trouble......That being said.....It becomes basic maintenance to pull the intake off and inspect, clean and replace if necessary the intake manifold. If your car is forced air you lock these IMRCs open and tune correctly but naturally aspirated coyote engines need these Intake Manifold Runner Control flaps working perfectly for below 3000 rpms......I've seen all kinds of misfire codes and this is exactly one of the pin pointed problems that occurs......Trust me on this..!!!!!!!!

The misfire codes were due to the faulty O2 sensor. Once the sensor was swapped the code went away. I just replaced the wrong sensor. On this car the IMRC were good and checked about two weeks prior to this issue. This is good stuff to know for those who don’t know about them. Also my IMRC were locked before and pig tailed and I had no codes for either. This was an 18 manifold swap.

I will second this, Ford has done nothing but garbage with the Mustang. After the gen 2 I wouldn’t get a new coyote. I was advised not to get the MT do I went A10 and hated it. Spoiler alert, I no longer have this car. This video is about a year old now. I just had to catch up.

What oil did you use? I have also been told if you use anything other than fords motorcraft oil it will start to do this.

Yes it did. I just got the codes mixed up and bough the wrong side. Once I took it in and found out all I had to do was swap them we were good. No codes no issues after.

What gas are you running? You can also try adding an angled bung to the o2 port so it’s not getting hit with any condensation.

If your issue is just the sensor then no. I didn’t need to for the sensor but since I have long tube headers, it’s a good idea to get an extension which I did put in. My precious shop who installed them didnt do this.

That is what I thought. This was a new TB. I was about to replace it but got retuned as my last tune wasn’t perfect. It actually took away the pop. My startup angle was set to 40 degrees and causing the idle to pop closed and open due to some other setting not correct.

@@moddedmind2524 I have the pop on the TB as well! How did you fix it bro? Was it just a new TB?

@@Phei. new TB fixed it temporarily. Turned out that my tuner changed the angle of the TB, so it would cause a slap that eventually messes up the TB. Got a new tune and never had the issue again.

Thanks for the question, that’s something I forgot to touch on. I would do 9.5 quarts and add this in. Check your levels. Maybe just need a bit more oil to top it off, but when I did it, it was a full 10qt. I eventually went and drained a small amount so it wouldn’t burn. Really most of the overage ended up in the catch can

For some it fixes for a while. As long as you use a beaver oil or keep with motor craft. For me it came back after two oil changes

I have heard this as well yet ikon doesn’t say you need to remove the bumper. Shoot if I have to go that route mind as well get a premium bumper and replace it.
