Can I ask how common is a knockout in this category? I guess because yeah it just puts me off a little, since I am a bit nervous of the cumulative effects of that. Like, say, in buhurt 5v5 you just need three points of contact so aggressively pounding your opponent like this, esp. when they're on the ground, isn't totally necessary - whereas obviously that's not the case here. I mean I'd love to try this, but as I understand it my options are just the women's category - which has no weight categories - or the men's, which does - and I'm a 110lb woman.

interesting that there are countless unarmored (or armored samurai) M.A., or military training arrangements, which could easily incorporate all that, using training-machetes, for self defense, combat deployments, etc. eg, see philippine Marines Force Recon, with their 18'' blade issue Ginunting sword-machetes, but NO grappling training, for, i guess 200yrs or so.
