Their variety in colors and sizes offers superb versatility to complement any exterior, and the sleek design enhances the overall appearance. Although they may come with a higher price tag, we regard them as a valuable investment for those seeking a dependable and attractive solution. They come highly recommended for anyone willing to invest a bit more for superior quality and installation convenience. Appreciate the recommendation!

    Thank you for sharing. I want to do the same thing, but I cannot figure out how am I to clean the air bricks to remove dust after sticking the mesh?

    • @pghpestcontrol
      @pghpestcontrol Год назад

      Great question! Before installing the mesh, a thorough cleaning of the air bricks is a good idea. Once the mesh is in place, regular dusting with a soft brush or using a vacuum with a brush attachment should help maintain them without needing to remove the mesh. For a deeper clean, you can gently rinse the mesh with water, being careful to not saturate the brickwork. If you're unsure then you should seek professional help. Hope this helps!

    It doesn’t work ! Walsall Tesco had it installed about 6 months ago & just before Xmas there was 2 pigeons stuck behind it, fortunately some kind person ripped a huge hole in it to release the birds, they might be vermin but don’t deserve to die of starvation or dehydration

    • @pghpestcontrol
      @pghpestcontrol Год назад

      It appears that the installation at the Walsall Tesco might have involved the use of netting that was either of an incorrect size or poorly installed, or perhaps a control solution that was not adequately effective. These factors likely contributed to the pigeons gaining access and subsequently becoming trapped. It's essential in such installations to ensure that all materials and methods are correctly chosen and implemented. This not only helps in effectively deterring birds but also prevents potential harm to them, as seen in this instance. Regular inspections and maintenance of these systems are crucial to address any issues promptly and to ensure their humane and effective operation.

    With pigeon netting what sort of area can you do before the net starts to sag?

    • @pghpestcontrol
      @pghpestcontrol Год назад

      The area that can be covered by pigeon netting before it starts to sag depends on several factors, including the quality of the netting material, the strength and placement of the support structure, and the environmental conditions (like wind, rain, or snow) that the netting will be exposed to. Generally, high-quality, heavy-duty netting can cover larger areas without sagging, but it's crucial to have a robust support structure. For larger areas, it's often necessary to create a grid of support cables to which the netting is attached. This grid helps distribute the weight of the netting evenly and prevents sagging. The spacing of these support cables is critical; the larger the area, the more support cables will be needed. Additionally, the tension of the netting is important. Properly tensioned netting is less likely to sag, but over-tensioning can cause the netting or support structure to fail. As a general guideline, for standard pigeon netting installations, spans of up to 10 meters (about 33 feet) can be achieved without significant sagging, assuming the netting is of good quality and the support structure is well-designed. However, for larger areas or in places with harsh weather conditions, a professional assessment is highly recommended to determine the best approach for installation without risking sagging or other issues.

      When sealing mesh to an exterior wall or pipes as part of a rodent-proofing process, the choice of sealant is indeed important. CT1 is a popular choice because it's a strong, multi-purpose adhesive and sealant that works well in various conditions and adheres to most surfaces, making it effective for outdoor applications. However, the suitability of CT1 or any other sealant largely depends on the specific surface you're applying it to. Here are some factors to consider when choosing a sealant for attaching mesh to an exterior wall or pipes For specific applications, it might be beneficial to consult with a professional or a representative from a hardware store who can provide recommendations based on the particular characteristics of your project. It’s also a good idea to check the manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines for both the mesh and the sealant to ensure compatibility and best results.
